How much gold will you have as you advance?

I am curious to know what the average amount of GP you will receive from each chronicle will be as you gain levels.

It seems that tier 1-2 chronicles reward an average of 500 gp, 3-4 give out 1200, 4-5 1800, and 6-7 3200, etc.

I'm still in the lower tiers with my first character but I'd like to start planning ahead for my purchases and would like to know how much the higher tiers reward.

I figue that my average wealth per level should look like this

1st: 1500
2nd: 3000
3rd: 6600
4th: 11,100
5th: 15,600
6th: 25,200
7th: 34,800

Can anyone help me complete the progression out to level 12 or point out any mistakes I have made?

I'm thinking hard and I'm not sure you've seen a lot of the 1-7 modules, probably a number of 1-5's.

There's a distinct difference between 1-2 and 4-5 compared to 3-4 and 6-7. I'll see what I can put together for you for the next time we see each other.

What you also need to think of is playing up, I have played my lower lvl character in groups with higher lvls who played up one sub tier. So he was 1 and played in a tier 3-4 game and got the gold for such, or was lvl 2 and played in a tier 4-5 when the game was a 1-2, 4-5. And so on, so his amount of gold is higher then normal.

To be clear, one cannot simply "play up". You may play in their tier for which it appropriate for the group of which you are a member. One may not simply "chose" to play up because they want to. If you're level 2 and everybody else at the table is level 4, that would be grounds for playing up, but having a group of five level 2's that "want more of a challenge" would not. One should also be aware that in many modules (especially a lot of the more recent modules), playing up can make you very dead, very quickly.

From here I will simply say "Play, Play, Play," doesn't work that way and I will eagerly await Dragnmoon's appearance and flurry of anger over this very concept.

Based upon tallying up average gold per sub-tier on a number of scenarios, here is your following wealth progression as you hit the next level. This assumes you always play within a sub-tier that your character level falls in (for instance, level 3 playing in 3-4, level 4 playing in 4-5, etc), which will maximize your gold. This does not account for playing up or down within a tier. I also put into parenthesis on the side what character wealth is by level (according to the table in the Core) as a reference. You will see that PFS tends to be generous to you and gives you a couple thousand gold above where the Core would place you at, depending on the particular level.

Level 01: 150 gp
Level 02: 1659 gp (1000 gp)
Level 03: 3168 gp (3000 gp)
Level 04: 7008 gp (6000 gp)
Level 05: 11646 gp (10500 gp)
Level 06: 18423 gp (16000 gp)
Level 07: 27309 gp (23500 gp)
Level 08: 39447 gp (33000 gp)
Level 09: 53991 gp (46000 gp)
Level 10: 68535 gp (62000 gp)
Level 11: 91065 gp (82000 gp)
Level 12: 113595 gp (108000 gp)
Level 12+: Holy cow / incomplete information.

Mister Slanky, Please revert to your previous avatar it is much cooler than your present one and makes it easier to find your posts when I want to read them.

As far as plying up it does not work at low levels at low levels below el6 the tier system works just fine. IN 5-9 7-11 and 10-11 playing up works just fine IMO but you have to be careful and take fewer risks then you take when playing within your tier. Thats just my 2 cents on playing up.

Even the core rules give you more wealth in the adventures then you should have based on your level. The extra cash is assumed to be spent on consumables.
