Maybe? The order of the eclipse has the following edict.
Order of the Eclipse wrote:
The samurai must belong to a military organization (this is likely to be a warband commanded by a senior samurai, who in turn answers to a warlord). The samurai must enforce his place within this order and societies that recognize its authority, obeying those senior to him without question and demanding total obedience from those beneath him.
As a ronin, they are without a lord, however technically he could still be part of a military as a mercenary.
I would say, so long as he's not double dipping, trying to get the Ronin abilities and the Order of the Eclipse abilities, and he obeys the edicts it's perfectly reasonable.

Honestly, I envision the Edict of the Order of the Eclipse to pose quite a problem, since to me it doesn't make sense that you would be wondering about adventuring while maintaining your position in a military organization and also "enforcing your place within society". Just doesn't seem like it would work. Then again, I don't think that Samurai work as adventurers anyways.
