Problem is, the ring of revelations specifically states that it only works for Oracles. You can emulate the appropriate class feature (i.e. the oracle mystery), but UMD says nothing about emulating the class itself. Whether or not this would prevent you from using the ring is a rules question I never got an official answer for (much like many of my other interesting rules questions...).

You're right that it's a grey area of the UMD skill RAW, though personally I'd consider it needlessly pedantic/absurd to rule that being an oracle isn't a class feature of the oracle. Mind you, that's just my 2¢ on the issue.
The question would be whether being an oracle is more than being the sum of its class features. Ah, philosophy.

what feats?
In Ultimate Magic, the Eldritch Heritage feats allow someone with Skill Focus in the appropriate skill to get a bloodline power (there are three feats, one for each of the 1st level, 9th level, and 15th level powers if memory serves) as as Sorcerer of their Character level -2. Might be very nice for a Rogue, right off the bat, but even past that, if does set a precedent.
You don't get anything besides the power form the bloodline, so you're not going to out-sorcerer a sorcerer with it. I don't see how this same mechanic might be easily applied to Oracular mysteries, providing only powers, as though you were an oracle of Level -2 at least.

what feats?
Eldritch Heritage/Improved Eldritch Heritage/Greater Eldritch Heritage from Ultimate Magic let you get powers from a bloodline. I'm not aware of anything that lets you get the arcana though.
