So lemme see if I can see where we are.
Karlan is continuing a trend of unwise eating.
Harry is riding the village bicycle.
Kanyk is messing about with the neighbors.
Nieve is messing about with the ocean.
And Gerlick is being the brooding loner type who might cut himself were it not for the fact his arm might fall off.

Zyren, I have been further thinking about the Tzarek tournament and the game mechanics. On a tabletop game, my suggestion would work fine, but I realize that in a PBP game, that if we had to try and compare scores for the opening, middle and endgame, it would really slow the game down, especially if Kyren ends up competing in four or more games. So I have another idea. Instead of comparing against the opposing score, just compare against the abillity modifier chart. So a resulting score of an 18 for a skill check in the opening would result in a +4 bonus being added to the middlegame skill check. Likewise if a middle game check ends up being a score of 15, a +2 bonus would be applies to the endgame skill check. In the end, the player with the highest modified skill check score for the endgame would declared the winner.
For example, here are three rolls from a Player A with a +5 skill Tzarek skill check modifier.
Opening 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Middlegame 1d20 + 5 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 5 = 11
Endgame 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
The opening went really well for Player A. Because he had a result of 21 from the opening, he is granted a +5 bonus for his middlegame. However, he had a really poor middlegame and probably lost some serious pieces. The modified skill check was an 11, thus he has a 0 for a modifier for his endgame. The final score is a 10, which does not seem very high.
Now consider his opponent, Player B, who has a +7 Tzarek skilll check modifer.
Opening 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Middlegame 1d20 + 7 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 6 = 15
Endgame 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 7 + 2 = 28
Player B had a very good opening as well. Consequently, with his opening score of 22, he earned a +6 bonus for his middlegame. Similarly, with a combined score of 15 for his middle game, he earned a +2 bonus for his endgame. His final endgame skill check score came out to be 28, which gives Player B a clear win over Player A. This game is won by Player B.
Please feel free to modify and/or use whatever aspects of this you like. I am just trying to find an easier way to run the tournament without it taking a lot of time away from the other players. I hope this helps. :-)

Gerlick the Broken |

While Gerlick appears to be a brooding hero who may cut himself in actuality he is quite a nice fellow who is just terrified of human contact given his past :P
Thus, he tries to stay away from people cause he doesn't realize he can, in fact, trust them haha.
And he would not cut himself. Thats just stupid and he realizes its stupid. He is lonely and confused, not dumb or emo :P

Besides given your condition if you cut yourself your whole arm might fall off.
And you could barely lift the sword in any case.

Gerlick the Broken |

Oh, I can already imagine Gerlick at the top of a large army leading them into battle...with Nieve by his side^^ Let's see how our loners will develope.

Oh and Gerlick could totally lift a sword...and end up cutting off his leg when he means to cut the arm off :P Maybe. Possibly. If he someone rolls REALLY high.

Nieve |

Nieve wrote:I think Nieve'd rather go for Kanyk than Gerlick. No offence but he's not into wasting flesh. (and yes, I know Kanyk has atrocious Charisma)Oh wow so you are one of those rare ones not trying to get wrapped in Harry's big manly arms?
Knowing that he'd go off and enjoy five other women in the course of the week as well? No thanks.

Heavy Harry |

You can trust him with your life, but not your money nor your wife.

Nieve |

I am moving tomorrow, and won't have internet until Friday. If I don't post on Friday, that means that my ISP failed to give me internet on time. If this happens, I won't be able to post as often as I would like (as I will have to visit somebody else to borrow their internet). I apologise in advance should this problem arise. I certainly hope it won't.

The Tosscobbles are spreading like a plague!
"Is one of my siblings causing a problem out there?!?! Brother Falco always seemed to get into trouble!"

Bonzo Rozer |

Bonzo HP 1d8 ⇒ 6 and Donna doesn't really get anything this level except 2 more evolution points.
Bonzo increases his Charisma from 17 to 18.
EDIT:
Alright, I took Invisibility and Haste as my new spells, and Donna got Reach (on her earthbreaker) and Low light vision as her evolutions.

GM Harpwizard |

still denying your drow roots? tsk, tsk. come to the dark side, my child.
"Trust me, the lure of the dark side is strong in my family. I would love to live consequence free and stop worrying about paladin codes and ethics and go follow my fighter training. After hanging out with Pitr for a while, the drow can see why Gorian Damasco was driven to drink!":p
