(UM) Synthesist question.


Rules Questions


I was playing around with a Synthesist build last night, but can't figure out how saves are handled.....

"While fused with his eidolon, the synthesist uses the eidolon’s physical ability scores (Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution), but retains his own mental ability scores (Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma)."

So does the Synthesist use his class saves ? or the eidolons saves when fused ?

Or does he use his saves, but with the eidolons physical ability modifiers ?


BTW....looking over it....I just realized I had created the WITCHBLADE.

Saves are unchanged except your Fortitude save will change with your new Constitution ability score.

*Edit: and Dex... forgot the dex.

Yep, that is correct.

You apply whatever modifiers your current stat scores supply whether it's from a synthesis, or a spell boost.

But don't worry: the 'Shielded Merge' pushes the saves just high enough to stand in the line of fire ;)

Fighter 20: +12 Fort
Summoner 20: +10 Fort
