Can a Sorcerer use Precise Shot and Point Blank Shot for rays?

Yep.

Rays are a "weaponized" spell due to the fact they have an attack roll. They suffer most, if not all, the normal penalties for a ranged weapon and gain most, if not all, the benefits of being a ranged weapon.

you can also weapon focus: ray.. though the name might be a bit different. This applies to all ranged touch attack, but not melee touch attacks.

You can sneak attack with rays, provided you also meet the requirements. Harder to do as you have to speak loudly for most spells. When using a ray such as Ray of Enfeeblement, you do not do 1d6 points of str damage with sneak attack, but instead do 1d6 points of negative energy damage.

The additional effects applied to say, an acid arrow, do not gain the benefits of sneak attack but the arrow itself still does. Also volley type rays, such as scorching ray, only apply sneak attack on the first ray, not the others.

I believe all of that is true except the part about ray of Enfeeblement doing sneak attack damage. Unless they changed this from 3.5, a ray has to do actual hit point damage to qualify for sneak attack.

I kind of wish it did, used to have a ray wizard with split ray and improved crit: Ray. Would have been nice for the extra damage.

Well, in 3.5 it did work. In PF ray of enfeeblement bestows a penalty, not stat damage so sneak attack won't work in that specific case anymore.

enervation does extra negative energy with a sneak attack.

same number of negative levels, but all your SA dice are negative energy

Wouldn't that get weird with, say, Cure light wounds? Where does sneak attack turn into negative energy? Or is that just because of the spell type (aka, scorching ray Sneak Attack does fire based sneak attack)

Using that, could I have a cleric/rogue with sneak attack doing extra healing when I heal and they are flat footed?

'What's that over there, friend? "Sneak Attack cure light wounds!" '

so that means with Precise shot rays get +1 attack +1 damage?

if the ray does fire damage does it get +1 fire damage?

Duh? Precise shot negates the -4 for firing into melee penalty, it doesn't change attack or damage.

Liberty's Edge

It's legal (if somewhat cheesy) for a human fighter to take WF:ray, PBS, and PS at 1st, then multiclass into a casting class.

(It's not cheesy is you also take a trait that permits you to infrequently cast a cantrip or 1st-level spell while not being a caster.)

Sorry i was thinking about Point Blank shot! Does Point Blank Shot give also +1 Damage on a Ray? What if the Ray deals fire damage?

It would be the 1st or 3rd feat of my sorcerer!!

CLW would do positive damage (Unlike negative for undead, positive doesn't automatically result in healing for the living.). You though still wouldn't be able to SA an undead with ray of enfeeblement to attempt to heal them. (Or with any spell that actually did negative energy damage)

Not to mention you would be needing to do it in an offensive manner, as in rolling for the touch attack, provoking AoO and all that.

I believe then you invoke the rule of the bag of rats though..
