I'm sure Sentis would like to take a few inches off my hide at the moment due to all my inadvertent gender-lapses. If it makes you feel better then feel free to imagine you're cutting furrows in my flesh :)
Though I should point out the avatar has armor, unlike the gorillas you just chopped up..... hmmmm, runs to DM table and starts madly scheming.

Voiceless, since your now more or less our main GM, can you give us a ye or ney on the Anti-Hero bonus feat question: since we're mercs, it was suggested we use this system, but instead of any bonus feat we can only get a bonus teamwork feat? I believe Squad 1 has already done this, but I'm not sure.

I'd be ok with you taking the extra feat, as long as it is a teamwork feat. The Crimson Kings took it that way through assumption, and Pentor didn't come out and say no.
Hopefully Pentor comes back in force once his work is sorted out - I originally took this DMing on to try and make sure that the Crimson Kings thread would keep moving. But it seems that it's stagnated for a few days....

Cortland Broadcloak |

I'll have to check on the Teamwork feats, will report back on that in the morning Monkeyboy.
EDIT: Actually found some time quickly and hell yes will pick that up. Seems perfect for our group, I can just imagine Blaze and Cort confounding and striking enemies over and over with devastating flanks. Oh yeah... that'll work.
EDIT 2: Am I the only one who's really looking forward to next level? I get a plus 3 bonus to attack with weapon finesse. Then Weapon focus gives me another at 3 and then another point for one more attack and Wep Spec at 4. Basically getting a +2 to attack every level lol. But particularly looking forward to the large jump in accuracy next level.

Monkeygod |

The problem with Pentor oking anything is that I haven't heard from in about week. I msg'd him on google chat as that's how we've done most our talkin, and he never got back to me.
As for next level, since I've already got accruacy handled more or less, what I'm looking forward to is 3 extra points of damage, thanx to Dervish Dance. After that its the two other feats for Duelist and then I have no idea lol. If at some point I have extra feat to spare, I might take Additional Traits and pick up Reactionary for that extra +2 to Initative lol.
Oh speaking of next level, Voiceless, Pentor and I created an archtype to replace Bravery for Blaze: at every level he would gain Bravery he instead gains +1 Initative and +5 to his speed.

Cortland Broadcloak |

While I'd love to see blaze blasting through the baddies and such. I kind of agree with the general mood on that one. Perhaps you could trade off each time you got bravery. Get a plus one initiative the first time, then a plus 5 to speed the second time, and so on? I mean... that just seems a bit op, +5 to fear isn't too much of a good thing, and I'd gladly give up the whole +5 for a +3 to init and a +10 speed.

Yep, I'm back, though I'm about to be off to Vegas from the 12 to the 20th. I'll have my phone so I can post, but it takes a lot longer. Expect posts to be short.
Also, if I'm holding things up, I don't mind Grusk or a GM making his choices and actions for him.
Looks like I have a teamwork feat to pick? Anything else that I missed?
I know my character sheet isn't quite clean yet but I'm pretty sure all the important stuff is there. The only thing I haven't done is made sure all my equipment lines up. I'm keeping track of items I use though. I'll make sure my money lines up right.

Our healing capability super-sucks!
Considering dip into either cleric or witch!
Cleric would give channel energy
3/day 30 foot radius curing 1d6
Witch would give healing hex
1 time/ per person / per day curing 1d8+1
Either can have CLW on spell list.
Was anyone else thinking about doing a healer dip? My ability scores are not the greatest for either one!

Hey guys, just wanted to raise something that is concerning me at the moment.
Alot of the problem stems from the fact that I am currently feeling like I'm babysitting a game for Pentor - and I'm not sure if he is coming back.
One of my main motivations for being 'co-DM' was to give Squad 1 a better chance of surviving early PbP death by taking some slack off Pentor. However with Pentor's absence there is a real possibility that Squad 1 may bite the dirt anyway.
While I do have some gaming interest in running either a Merc / Jungle / Ship based PbP - I'd prefer to do it on my own terms than those someone else put in place. (Some of this is as simple as 'leaving Vankerman's son at home'; some is more to do with having seven x 25pt buy characters and trying to balance combat)
Haven't made up my mind on anything yet - just wanted to raise this to you so you're aware of it.

Sentis Spinis |

Appreciate the heads up Voice of the Voiceless and understand your view and after reading squad 1's rolecall your concerns are founded.
I was warned that pbp's often die out well before they get started aand I certainly hope that doesnt happen here. Youve done a great job so far and the pacing and participation by the rest of the squad has been awesome.
so...dont go!

DM - Voice of the Voiceless |

@ Sentis - thanks for the kind words.
I'm not going to leave you guys hanging at all - if you want me to keep going, then I'm cool with that. It has a little more to do with how long you guys want to hold out on this being Pentor's show (in the hope that he re-appears) - or if you are open to a collaborative re-imagining of a few things.
I'm suggesting anything that would involve re-builds of characters or changes to numbers - it's all to do with minor story related elements, tone of storytelling and overall storyline goals.

Kaavel |

To be honest I do not want to be rude to Pentor but granted other than the first few times you have been the DM so I cannot say about him being gone. I am with whatever everyone else in the group wants to do. I am also with Sentis you have been doing a great job even sending monsters that are not overly strong but strong enough to just chip at us.

Cortland Broadcloak |

My 2cp: You are doing a very good job at challenging us and working well. I should hope this doesn't end up restructured or anything, but I can live with it. I would ask that everyone make a very clear post to Pentor that he needs to step back in a bit, and then wait a 3-4 more days before declaring it your pbp. I would be fine with playing under you and changing our style a bit, but of course I am not the DM, or a co-DM and so I have very little knowledge on the whole situation. Either way, I hope this doesn't die, I'm enjoying my first pbp. Cheers!

Darkbiter |

I'm trying to salvage squad 1, but it looks like an uphill task. If I had been able to take over sooner, it would have had a much better chance, but at this point, the feel of the group has already been set, and it will be hard for me to match it, as I have a different style of doing things than Pentor.

Monkeygod |

As the Co-GM of Squad 2, I've talked to Pentor about some ideas on how to bring the groups together, which I will begin to discuss with the other Co-GMs if it looks like we need to fully take over.
I would hope that we can keep the overall theme and tone of the merc inter-squad feel. Beyond that, I am ok if our game's tone and mood changes a bit, though I am curious just how much of a change we could be expecting.

DM - Voice of the Voiceless |

Ok, just to give you an idea of what sort of 'changes' I'm talking about:
I'd like to ret-con the expedition list so that Ossana and Bart Vankerman aren't present. My view on the R Vankerman character and his motivations doesn't mesh too well with the fact he brought his wife and son on a trek into deepest darkest jungle.
I would prefer for one of the squaddies to express an interest in leadership and be the de-facto Corporal rather than Cpl Valorious. I would prefer to let you guys make most of the decisions and let me wrap the game around that, rather than use Icy as a railroad device.
On tone - alot of my creativity comes from a deep dark place. Are you happy with the current level of squick, or would you like me to amp it up at all?
On Overall Goals - my long-term plans was to have you guys gradually proceed up the West coast taking on jobs as you go. After each successful job I'd give you a few OOC choices as to what next, then launch that IC.

Kaavel |

We in a weird Jungle that only the shadows only know what truly know what are in there bring on the deep dark places. Rest sounds fine with me though if we are moving up the coast I would want to leave the jungle at some point maybe to the Realm of the Mammoth Lords fight some demons? Just for a change of pace also to see some savage places.
