Your phantasmagoric displays accurately model the mysteries of the night sky, dumbfounding all who behold them. Each creature affected by your illusion (pattern) spells is treated as if its total number of Hit Dice were equal to its number of Hit Dice minus your Charisma modifier (if positive).
A glowing, rainbow-hued pattern of interweaving colors fascinates those within it. Rainbow pattern fascinates a maximum of 24 HD of creatures. Creatures with the fewest HD are affected first. Among creatures with equal HD, those who are closest to the spell's point of origin are affected first. An affected creature that fails its saves is fascinated by the pattern.
Similar thing for hypnotic pattern.

Yep.
If you have a +5 Charisma modifier, you reduce the HD of each creature affected by the spell by 5. So, if you cast the pattern into the center of a pack of 44 5-HD goblins, they all get hit by the spell, and they all have an effective 0 HD, so all 44 attempt the save.
It would be reasonable to put a "Minimum 1" on Awesome Display, though.
It is also full of 'win' for color spray which the oracle of heavens receives for free at 2nd level.

Yeah, I think I'll be houseruling that to minimum 1 HD. :) Someone did an oopsie in editing I think.
That's still stupid powerful, but caps it out at 24 mooks.
