Situation: Party member was blinded. We didn't have any means to cure the blindness so we used the Animal Companion as a "seeing eye dog" using the "Push" Handle Animal check.
1) What Trick or Purpose would you need to train an Animal Companion to be a used as an "seeing eye dog"?
2) What is the DC and time necessary to train the Animal Companion?
3) Does the character using the "seeing eye dog" need to make a Handle Animal check DC of 10? If so can they take 10?
1)I would rule that the Performance general purpose (or each of the individual tricks) would suffice.
2)According to the book, DC 15 and 5 weeks.
3)Yes, though he can do so as a free action, assuming the character in question is the one with the animal companion and he's not borrowing it from someone else.
