Family Subdomain and "Binding Ties"

Rules Questions

Sovereign Court

My husband wants to make an inquisitor with the Family Subdomain. The Binding Ties power allows him to transfer a condition from another person to himself. Grappled is a condition and he and I disagree as to whether the power should allow one to transfer the condition (he thinks yes, I think no). How have other people handled this power and things like Entangled, Death, Grappled, Helpless, Petrified, Pinned, and Prone?

Technically he's right; except in the cases where you can't take actions. Just use your judgment in actual play. If it doesn't make sense, don't let it.

I'd say if there is a feasible and not overly convoluted way of describing how it works, let it happen. Like shoving an arm between the grapplers and pulling the grappler close to him. Or at the last second, stepping between. Some are just too far-fetched, like prone. As for petrified or helpless... it is a supernatural ability. Some things are just pretty awesome.
