Crafting Scrolls when not in town

Rules Questions

I'm a little confused on how exactly one can craft scrolls when not in town. Obviously you have to have all the materials (special paper and ink), pre-purchased, but what other requirements?

Assume that the party is traveling 8 hours per day.

Can I only make scrolls <= 250gp?

When you stop for the night, you unpack your workbench, set a torch on a rock, oops, wrong game!
But seriously, you need a flat, steady, surface so you cannot make items while walking or riding.

Yes. You work at half pace, and can only work for 4 hours a day while adventuring. (1 hour before breakfast an hour at lunch and 2 hours at night or whatever) so you get two hours worth of work in. 2 hours is enough time to make any scroll or potion less than 250gp.
