Lego is the future of Kids Miniatures Gaming

That looks pretty cool yd. It’s like HeroQuest or Warhammer Quest with Lego!

I haven’t seen these ones before, but these new lego games in general look quite fun. My son’s friend has a few of them.

Of course, using lego for miniature gaming / wargaming is not a completely new idea. Years ago, we used to use our old lego to build scenery for Necromunda and Mordheim, and I’ve been known to use lego mini-figures instead of ‘proper’ miniatures for grid combat in RPGs.

Rival? More like convenient business partner. Heroica for the 6-12 year-old crowd, D&D for the 12-and-up crowd!

Are you not the one always complaining about people calling 4th ed a minis game...;)

I know what you meant. And you are probably right.

Sure that works out till Legos comes out with a RPG for the Legos that is...

Well, that is just awesome :)

My friend uses lego tanks as proxies for 40K. I like them more than space marine or tao tanks, but less than his orcs (which are awesomely modded.

Annoth friend has all of his players make their characters with lego people and usues legos for the terrain. Makes for a great battlemat.
