This may have already been noticed, but in the fourth edition of the core rulebook, crafting magic items has 2 different skill DCs. In the feat section under item creation feats (pg 112) it states the skill check is 10+CL. In the Magic Item Creation section (pg 548) it states it as 5+CL. Which is correct?
Thanks!

I looked this up on the PF SRD here (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/)and its written the same way as in the book.
Heres what I found:
Just reading from your post,
- You use spellcraft. That's the default
- An item's description may mention a secondary skill you need.
- The DC should be always the same
- If the item description lists skills, you must choose one to use.
Whether it's 10+cl or 5+cl... hm.
Q: In Chapter 4: Feats (pg. 112), the DC to craft a magic item is 10 + the item's caster level. In Chapter 15: Magic Items (pg. 548), the DC is listed as 5 + the item's caster level. Which is correct?
A: (Jason Bulmahn) I believe the Magic Items chapter is correct and the DC should be 5 + caster level, but I am still looking into the issue. Either way, this will be corrected. [Source]
Ah, yes. As one is missing prerequisites, the DCs can go quite high. A 10+CL would become near-crippling for master craftsmen.
Jason is a final authority on the rules. so this is legal.
