These are errors with feats in the beastiary 2nd printing. I only reviewed monsters CR 10 or higher.

Adult blue dragon and ancient blue dragon have Deadly Stroke, but don't have the Greater Weapon Focus requirment.

Ancient red dragon, ancient gold dragon, Tarrasque and Shoggoth have Stunning Critical, but don't have the Staggering Critical requirement.

Maybe this was already covered somewhere else, but it hasn't been fixed as of the 4th printing of the core rulebook and 2nd printing of the beastiary. Just some inconsistencies I noticed between the core rulebook and the beastiary in regards to mounted movement and carrying capacities.

Movement
In the beastiary, light and heavy horses both move 50 or 5 mph. In the core rulebook in table 7-9 on p.174 it states light horses move 6 mph and heavy horses 5 mph.

Carrying Capacity
According to the same table 7-9, light horse medium load is 175 lbs, heavy horse medium load is 229 lbs, pony medium load is 151 lbs and dog medium load is 101 lbs.

Going by the description in the beastiary for the various mounts, ponies are the only ones with a listed medium load of 101 lbs.

Using the str of the appropriate mount, the carrying capacity chart (table 7-4 p.171 of the core rulebook) and the rule on p.170 of the core rulebook (large quadripeds have 3x and medium have 1.5x carrying capacities) I've recalculated the medium loads for the mounts. A light horse (large, str 16) has a medium load starting at 231 lbs. A heavy horse (large, 20 str) has a medium load starting at 401 lbs. A pony (medium, str 13) has a medium load starting at 76 lbs. A riding dog (medium, str 15) has a medium load starting at 101 lbs.

In the end, what is the correct movement speed of horses and the carrying capacity of the typical mounts?

See... I am blind.

Thanks a bunch Are.

Maybe I'm just blind, but where can I find the crush damage for a dragon? In the dragon introduction, it says "A crush attack deals the indicated damage plus 1-1/2 times the dragon's Strength bonus". Looking in all of the various dragon stat blocks, all I see is that they have the special attack of Crush with no damage listed.

This may have already been noticed, but in the fourth edition of the core rulebook, crafting magic items has 2 different skill DCs. In the feat section under item creation feats (pg 112) it states the skill check is 10+CL. In the Magic Item Creation section (pg 548) it states it as 5+CL. Which is correct?

Thanks!

John
