We lost one of our group last week; Nigel Jones passed away. Details are still a bit fuzzy, he had been in for brain surgery two weeks before. Never said a whole lot, but he was at every session and rolled his dice with the best of 'em. Just thought I'd get it out there.

You have my most sincere condolences.
I'm truly sorry for your loss.
My heartfelt condolences to you, your group and his family
My condolences to you, your group and his family.
When ever we lost somebody we always did something really nice with their charecter. We would take turns playing them while the DM set up an epic way to memorialize them in the campaign world.
+RIP, Nigel.
How old was he? How long was he with your group?

RIP
A big thank you to everyone who posted in this thread. I just returned from his memorial and it was amazing to see the friends, family and co-workers from Auckland who turned out to say goodbye. I don't know his exact age, he was in his mid-30s. I had known him and played Pathfinder with since my wife and I relocated to New Zealand last January. I hadn't known him a long time, but I did know him to be a stoic, honest, welcoming guy, and it was incredibly cathartic to pass those feelings on to his family. His family have graciously offered our group part of his RPG collection as a memento, and I can't think of a better way to keep his memory alive for us than to roll some d20s with his books on the gaming table.

I am sorry for your loss.
Might I suggest you add St. Nigel, Patron of Knights and Paladins to your world's pantheon?
You have my sympathies, as someone who knows what it is to lose a fellow player and friend.
I will raise a quiet glass for your friend tomorrow when I meet up at the pub with some other gamers...
May Nigel Jones rest in peace.
In some 30 years of gaming, I have known three gamers whom I have played with pass on. May your friend's memory be a source of strength for you and may those dear to him be comforted in their grief.
