Crikey.

I played through a solo B/X adventure I'd bought today called 'The Ghost of Lion Castle'. It was pretty lethal, and after I'd finished, the ghost in question informed me that the only treasure available was that I'd had inside of me all along. Bah.

Greetings from Texas. Winter storm was uneventful for me. My apartment is luckily within the medical grid here in San Antonio so I never lost power except for 1 day although my internet was extremely spotty. Played a good bit of Tales of Berseria and read The Wandering Inn.

Penny Arcade, OotS, Goblins(Like others, I still keep up with it even though it hasn't been particularly great lately), Prequel Adventure, Three Panel Soul, LFG(Which also hasn't been great lately), AwkwardZombie, NerfNow.

8-Bit Theater is still my favorite.

I read some Web Novels too that are still ongoing like Practical Guide to Evil and The Wandering Inn.

For Light Novels, I binge read "So I'm a Spider" recently and that was fantastic.

Manga/Manwha I have too many to list here but a few of my favorites:
Solo Leveling
Peerless Dad
Kaguya Sama Love is War
Dr.Stone
Skeleton Soldier

depressing stuff:

Had a lot of frustrating things happen to me in rapid succession. Water line in the apartment above mine busted a few weeks ago and had to sort that out with the apartment. Made a huge mess in my kitchen. Battery died in my car so I had to get that replaced with a bunch of other work. And it looks like our relationship and marriage of 13 years is coming to an end. It's ending amicably? I don't know. I haven't really sorted out my feelings on it. We were both unhappy in some ways, but I always thought the good outweighed the bad and we always talked it out anytime we had a conflict in the past. I've had a lot of time to sit on it so I'm not really so much depressed anymore, but I never really considered what my life was going to be like without her. So I'm thinking a lot about what the rest of my life should be like now.

I was walking down the street the other day (HA! Already this is a completely unbelievable joke.), and I saw two Budweiser cans that had been tossed into a bush. I took a pic and texted it to my friend, saying "Damn. This year's beer harvest sucks". He replied "Calm down, man. They're just buds."

You know that statistic that the average person eats three spiders a year? Yeah, that's b~~%~@$$. The vast majority of people eat 0, but then there's Spider George. He lives in a cave and eats several hundred a day. He's such a statistical outlier, that he really shouldn't be counted.

Not true. I have been a few (as in, two or three) little hole-in-the-wall places that served both. Usually in cans, along with RC, Faygo, and assorted other brands. In other words, they would go to the store, buy cases of whatever they felt like, and then resell them (illegally?). I've seen this many a time at snack stands at parks, or fairgrounds, or whatever as well.

Great, now I'm going to have Belushi's Greek diner owner stuck in my head all day. "Peksi, Peksi, Peksi! No Coke!"

The whole Coke/Pepsi thing is a question of syrup versus containers. If you're going to have a soda machine that dispenses syrup mixed with carbonated water, you only get one of the "big 2". (I suspect that similar to broadband it's an "exclusivity deal", but it could just be a lot cheaper to buy all of one brand and ignore the other.)

If you're selling cans or bottles, you're just a retailer and it's just as easy to sell both.

I think they both suck but if I'm to have one I definitely prefer Coke.

But honestly, if I'm going to drink any soda (I can count the amount of times I had soda last year on one hand) it's going to be root beer.

During my alcoholic years I saw no point in drinking sodas without alcohol in them. So an added advantage of going sober is that I don't remember the last time I had a sweetened carbonated beverage of any sort.

There's a possibility that on our 2018 backpacking trip I got a diet coke at a McDonald's drive-through, but it's been at least that long.

I saw a comic strip similar to this, set at a bar.

“Jack and Coke, please.”

“Is Pepsi okay?”

“Yeah, sure.”

Cue the bartender mixing Coke and Pepsi in a glass.

A sugar tax was introduced last month, inflating soda's prices overnight, and leading to a lot of jokes along the line:

Guy at the bar: One Coke please.
Barman: Do you want whiskey with that?

Just cut WW's hair for the second time, which means the hair scissors I bought have now paid for themselves, and this time I don't require any bandaids on my right hand.

So... success! sorta.

I read that as, "I recently did MrT's hair with diapers," which is all kinds of different.

It's "League of the Extraordinary Magnificent Seven" night on roll20/Zoom.

We fought owlbears on the promenade of DS9. They were wearing explosive leather armor on their legs and Anakin hit one with a lightsaber, which caused a hull breach.
Rocket Raccoon had an interesting encounter with a food replicator, and O'Brien had to stop him from "fixing" it.

Wow so many wife's and daughters and yet no son. That's got to be a statistical anomaly.
