You mean like those things that drive around San Francisco? Only a 42 year old would bring those up in casual conversation...

Nope, like the wheeled contraptions in the grocery store to carry your purchases. I'm just using the metric spelling in honor of the fact that Hot Fuzz is set in England.

I'm still stunned that the Narp guy from Hot Fuzz also plays the Hound in Game of Thrones.

No HBO. I wanna see Game of Thrones. :(

No HBO, not sure I want to see Game of Thrones. Is it any good? What is it about?

It's based on the book series A Song of Fire and Ice by George RR Martin. :D

Me either. :P

It's just got good reviews and it sounds neat. It's a fantasy setting.

As much as I love playing DnD/Pathfinder, I've never been much for reading fantasy. Except for Tolkien. I read the Hobbit, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Silmarillion, and assorted other books (Lost Tales, Unfinished Tales, Children of Hurin, etc...) every year. My preferred genre for reading is sci-fi.

Nope. No Facebook, Twitter, or anything like that. In fact this is the only real presence I have on the net now (not counting email, of course).

Never really been my thing. I don't keep in touch with people from my past and all my current friends I see on a regular basis. I used to have a website in college and posted on a forum one of my roommates was a founding member of, but I stopped those long ago.

I used to be all over the web, but I've mostly moved on to just Paizo and Facebook over the last year or so. I used to have accounts everywhere and post all over the place.

Bed? Pfft. Some of us have work to do. Of course we aren't doing it because we are on here instead. And by 'we' I mean 'me'.

No, this is the thread where you bring the nice longship some tar and scrape away his barnacles.

Jess: Good luck with the house search.

Kruelaid: Ouch! Sorry to hear about the wallet.

Anyone else: Sorry to have forgotten about you. I need me some tea to keep from forgetting whatever it was I read two minutes ago...

Alrighty then. As soon as I see a nice longship I'll be sure to give it some tar and then de-barnacle it.

Slow night. Uh-oh...was somebody murdered or something?

Found out last night the house I was trying to buy isn't really likely to work out.

They listed it as 110, I offered 103, with 6 toward closing costs. Their return bid? 109,900 without closing costs. O.o turns out they owe a lot on the house, and are about to be foreclosed on.

then they offered me a wonderful deal this afternoon. I could lease the house from them, move in, and then negotiate a short sale with them and their bank...

yeah...lose my apt, be dependent on them for a place to live, pay THEIR mortgage for months, and hope negotiations with the bank go well when I've lost all negotiating leverage?

heh. this may be my first house, but I'm not stupid, sorry.

>.<

back to house hunting.

Wow. That sucks.

Honestly, I'm kinda glad. I think you can do better than that house. Good luck with the continued search.

Celestial Healer wrote:

This is very very lame. Sorry to hear about it.

Eh, the house was nice, but there were problems with it. Problems that, if the owners were in a position to negotiate, could be taken care of. But they obviously weren't. I've had to expand the locations I'm looking, so I'd have a farther drive to work, but I'm trying to look at it as an opportunity, rather than a setback.

Mostly I'm being successful. Heh.

</pity party>

Actually, given the state of things at your job, you may consider moving proximity to current job a bit further down the priority list. I mean, just going by what we've talked about.

Hey! Darkness is our friend. In fact, we prefer it to be pitch black...

Of course I know. You see, the terrible truth is, you've become a nano-infected pawn of a cabal of hyper-intelligent cats who escaped from a secret Nestlé Purina PetCare Company Lab. These vicious and sinister felines have been slowly dispersing their nano-clouds over select human cities in order to create unwitting drones who will then obtain cats as pets, thus spreading the cabals influence slowly, but inevtibably into every household on the planet.
