I remember watching French-dubbed Diff'rent Strokes when I was a kid. To this day I'll sometimes narrow my eyes and say: "Qu'est-ce que tu dis Willie?"

Also, we'd get Italian Disney cartoons broadcast from RAI in Sicily. Donald Duck? Exactly the same in Italian.

You don't have to speak Spanish to know what happens on a telenovela. You don't even have to watch it to know. They are all just the same.

The woman with all the make up and silicone boobs is evil, she tricks the handsome good man so he dates her and the woman with not so much silicone and a more subtle make up that cries all the time suffers because of it but she gets the handsome man in the end. And the chubby funny low class servant serves as a friend of this second woman just to show how good she is caring so much for a low class person.

The endmore.

Yes, we have that show here to. It's called The Bachelor. Also Wheel Of Fortune. Or Alf, for the older generation.

#houserules

wait

She can sing to the goats TOO?!

Oh man this is awesome

Singing to goats is country livin' 101... don't tell me you don't have a turkey call either... Oh dear, someone needs to get you out to the country.

if the girl singing to turkies is dressed like applejack with incredible curves, you have a deal.

They lied to me!!

That's a 'Captains Only' rule that we introduced especially.

Pick a weapon, any weapon at first level. Now you're proficient with it!

Get bored with it, or find a cooler magical weapon later on, swap it out.

You would not believe how many "why can't I use X weapon" "because you're only proficient in simple weapons" discussions this will solve. :-)

I'm not a fan of weapon proficiencies myself. I think i have an okay way of handling them, but this is elegant in its simplicity.

In the fantasy heartbreaker, which I will never ever finish, there are no weapon or armor profs -- only Strength requirements.

I considered that, but it leads to too much nonsense.

Just growsing here - why is my group taking so long to decide how to get their party member to town for a raise?

Is it that hard to talk to an NPC to ask for a teleport, or even march off a week to the nearest settlement?

Geez.

Plot only moves in a PBP when players push it.

Hi everyone! What have I missed in the past 10,000 posts?

Freehold wants to be a Midwest goat herder. With long winter nights filled with buxom company and goat cheese.

Apparently Spanish t.v. shows are quite similar to Telemundo... and Wheel of Fortune.

I almost died when my body rejected winter (or as the doctor said "you got the flu you f@+@ing twit!").

Tequila Sunrise is too manly for weapons.

We'll see how that works out once he remembers he lives in Arizona.

It would seem San Francisco now has goat sharing services.

Tacticslion is verbally abusing people on the rules forum by being reasonable and clarifying when being misunderstood (the nerve!).

SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the rundown!

Freehold would not survive the Midwest. He would get bored after 1 day and then literally die of boredom.

Also, FFS, the rules forum is no place to be reasonable!

Also also, CapYest, I hope you've properly recovered from the flu.

Oh yes, completely!

I actually started with a sinus infection, which led to an ear infection which rolled into the Flu.

So I had a solid three weeks where I was feeling shitty in some way.

Come on. I usually do tell you I'm thinking and stuff like that, right?

Or even spell out what I'm thinking/considering. And besides - I think it's just right that everyone gets a chance to have input.

They are most a Latin American thing. They are just imported to Spain and some people loves them.

I hate the flu. When people has the flu, I don't know why (maybe they expect.to be treated? ;-D), they come to the hospital and the Microbiology service collapses.
Now that I think of it, I've got a lot more contracts because of that. I love the flu. I'd rather not suffer it, though.

Oh, no, you're good.

I'm happy to have you around!

... even if you do make me type a ridiculous amount of spells!

XD

(Spent so much time on this guy - I wonder if he's going to go down in two rounds, like a punk! That'd be pretty mythic!)

Nobody is a fan of goat cheese.

And yet goat owners insist on milking them anyway.

Or better yet, have Captain Yesterday do it, he doesn't wear glasses so he can get kicked in the face all damn day. :-)

At least that's what my brothers tried telling my parents. :-)

I like goat cheese. And mixed goat/sheep is also good.

My youngest likes sheep cheese and would probably put it in everything.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

LIB wondered whether you could get llama cheese.

You can, in Peru, and apparently it tastes a bit like Brie.

The most famous cheese in Spain, «queso manchego» is made of goat and sheep cheese or just sheep. The most rancid one is just great.
In Galicia we mostly have cow cheese, and we have some nice cheese too.
We have a cheese called «tetilla» (it means titty xD) that is slightly smoked and resembles a woman's breast for dirty minds. It's delicious.
