I'd bet money on the fact that "fruit cups" are sugar-flavored cough syrup with fruit-shaped chunks of foam rubber floating in it.
I would take that bet (cough syrup is patently undrinkable), but I have no way of finding and forcing the money out of y- "gently collecting" my winnings.
(Also, I've seen a picture of you. You could beat me in a fight.)
;D

Not to brag (I'm totally bragging), but I created a world I'd randomly generated sometime back, using this generator system by Mikaze.
Recently I randomly generated two more, built up some reference materials, and actually wrote one down.
I thought you guys might enjoy reading (or not).
I've not done the second one yet, though.

Drejk's is pretty big, I do mine two to three times a month so no big deal, although it's not just pumpkin pies, I like to vary it with Buttermilk Chess pies and the occasional fruit pie.
hardly ever apple tho, we used to live at places with Apple trees so my mom made Apple this and that all the damn time, it was like Johnny Appleseed, with more cursing

I was so excited. It was over 100% more Than I made last time.

The crust is always from scratch.

As it should be. In that case, 90 minutes is an impressive time.

Captain Yesterday's pie crust (makes 2)
1 cup (2 sticks) cold butter
2 cups of Flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1/3 cup or so cold, cold water (as cold as you can get it)
Work everything but the water together, the butter should be in little tiny pieces, I just use a fork and brute strength, then slowly mix in the water until it's almost all together but not quite stuck together completely then use my hands to work it the rest of the way.
Chill a few minutes, use plenty of flour when you roll it out as quickly as you can, rinse and repeat with the second.

on a side note, why am I making a gurps character sheet of myself
also the rule that people with motion-sickness can't learn to operate vehicles is dumb. motion sickness doesn't affect you when you're the one driving, because you're in control of the motion.
evolution of a typo:
girps --> girpu --> gurps

Nah, it really depends on the brand. And it starts to go down real smooth after the first bottle.

Pfffft. Yeah, sure. I may look like I'm in my late 20s, but my insides are those of an 80-year-old.

Depends on the vehicle. What you say works for cars. (Thank goodness. Or I'd be taking the bus everywhere.) But no one in their right mind would let me drive a boat or a plane. Because you're never completely in control of all of the motion in those situations. *shrug* So basically it does seem reasonable to restrict to land vehicles only. But yeah, saying you can't drive a car because you get motion sick is just weird and makes no sense.

Did you blow it on booze or get it all in pennies so you can swim in it Scrooge McDuck style and lose it in the couch cushions.
Also nothing is more hilarious then hearing 7th graders talk about how old they feel.
The next one I got was for $1.63. I think by the time the next quarter rolls around, I might have enough for a celebratory dinner at McDonald's.

Yeah I was wondering about whether it would work for a boat or a horse-drawn vehicle, since you have less direct control of the motion (after all, it's the sea that decides to bob, not you, and the horses move their own way and don't care about how steady the cart is)
I had airsickness on a plane only once in my life (i was already feeling ill that day which might have been why it was the only time it happened), and in my time on small boats and one schooner, no seasickness. I wonder if the nature of the motion makes me less likely to be sick?

It is amazing how quickly life can return to normal. Last week was pretty much armageddon for our gaming groups, with the death of a close friend or family member in all 3 (well, we have 4 groups, but the 4th has a lot of overlap). Both imps were sick, Impus Major thought he was having another anaphylactic reaction, and NobodysWife is still job hunting, which really is No Fun.
I spent the last three days helping my mother-in-law deal with the menial tasks associated with the death of a spouse, and today I'm back at work, the kids are back at school, and NobodysWife has a major interview scheduled for next week. Our Sunday game is back on this week, and I'll be running again Monday, Friday, and Saturday of next week.
Life is returning to its regularly-scheduled, hectic self, just a week after utter chaos and mayhem.
People are resilient creatures indeed!

That does not work that way for some people with motion sickness... The rule might imply that for most of them actually...

Yep gonna be one of those nights at work.
Customers decided to go brains optional "Can you help me take this out of the box and assemble it so I can see if it's the right size for my grandson" (who wasn't with her) the old lady asked.
I will have my vengeance on the shopping cart they foisted upon me for re-shop as my Viking ancestors did (bury it in the snow, returning periodically thru the winter to drunkenly pee on it, then dig it up in the spring and proclaim it to be Lutefisk)
Also we're super short handed because two guys called in, which is what I was gonna do:-(
