I may need assistance later this year with purchasing a new desktop.
First question is "How much are you willing to spend?" Second question is "What are you wanting to do with it?" Third question is "Will you be wanting a laptop or a desktop?" Forth question is "Are you willing to "build" it yourself?" There are other questions beyond that, but those are the biggies.

I am willing to spend about 600 bucks on a desktop. Hopefully a gaming desktop, as I need to play some total war. I am not building it myself. Not after what happened last time.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that.

Two days in and I've already bought three expansion packs for Crusader Kings - and one is just to make your starting ruler look (and be called and a few other things - skills are scored against its starting age) the way you want.

Soon the Ulfhuvud dynasty shall bring as much of Scandinavia as possible under them.

Although right now I'm trying to rebuild the Byzantine Empire.

I've taken back Rome!!

I am glad that you are enjoying Crusader Kings II, Kajehase. If you like that, then you should try the other Paradox games in their grand strategy lineup.

Europa Universalis IV is the one that got me hooked. I loved making crazy custom nations and trying to pull off some goal or another (Seabearia tried to take over as many island and coastal provinces as possible, for instance :P )

Neat looking but 40 euro on Steam? The first part costs $10 on GOG. Add to wishlist. I'll get in the future.

Yay!!

found my old notes for my home campaign from 10 years ago:-)

Storm Orcs! (not stupid, sea faring)

Hadozzee

Ash Gnolls! (smaller, more greenish hide, rules over the remains of an empire that collapsed after the emperor went all "I can totally win this! just gotta make this deal with a demon lord to smite my enemies and it's smooth sailing from here..... wait! what do you mean the mountain outside of town is going all super caldera on us! crap now i have buyer's remorse...")

Dwarves with a predilection towards sea faring and clockworks!

Magnus, lawful good god of The Hunt, and family (sound familiar:-p)

The Coven Realms (3 kingdoms each ruled by a Witch that all belonged to the same coven, i was working on a Witch class, wasn't nearly as well done as pathfinder tho, i think it was just a prestige class or alternate class features of sorcerer, the crunch stuff didn't make it, just the flavor and race s@#*

also was planning a big to-do with the four horsemen (of my own design:-p)

my campaign was heavily influenced by StormWrack! and Pirates of the Caribbean:-)

it wasn't too bad, but i don't have the time:-)

also pathfinder does a great job doing all this stuff for me, so more time for adventures:-)

I got my first taste with Europa Universalis II (all you southern US types speak Swedish in several of those realities - as does the Aussies). There's been a few improvements to the engine since then, I'd say...

For my not-even-any-notes-yet pre-apocalyptic setting, I'm thinking of having cities of decadent, rakshasa-worshiping/ruled jungle elves.

I've got a spare copy of CK II and EU IV on the old games list, if you're interested? (open offer, as always, though first preference to an dragún dearg for mentioning it)

I am mean, uh, of course... It would be wonderful... I must have missed them when I was looking through your list or at least failed to properly check what CK II actually is if I noticed them then.

After a 48 hour migraine over the weekend with back pain that never let up even after the headache eased, I dragged myself to the chiropractor yesterday.
Today I can't stay awake for more than a half hour at a time. I think this is probably a good sign that my back is finally starting to heal. Wish I knew what triggered that whole episode so I could avoid it in future. :)

Also I think my cat has mastered the sleep spell. Every time I wake up from a nap I hadn't meant to take there she is curled up against my back and purring....

I should really get up and go clean the kitchen. It's taco Tuesday after all and the kidlet looks so forward to that.
But the cat just keeps purring and it's so hard to get up......

We Americans need to adopt the term whinging into our vocabulary. Such a handly alternative to b$&#*ing without the gender baggage or vulgarity.

indeed. I am worried about the security of the site.

As far as understand it has nothing to do with security - it's the matter of tons of poor people working for pennies as a spammers. The only solution would be to restrict posting after creating an account. Or finally teaching the googlebots to recognize spam and ignore it for the purpose of search engine calculations. Or punish the notorious spammers by sending an army of googlebot-controled drones that will home on the spammers location and blast them into smithereens.

I are excite! :D My office closes for the week (called Race Week here, cause the town goes crazy over the annual horse races), so I have the whole week off to spend with my little mouser. No idea how I'll fill the whole week, but I know no matter what I do, I'll have a great week with my son. :)

It may just have been updated since you last looked at it, it gets updated most weeks, as new bundles are put up for sale. :P

Steam Games:
For those interested, here is a link to the list:

Steam Games!

It is open to all, so feel free to take a look and let me know if you'd like something off it. :)

I may be a little delayed sending any requests on atm, my access to the reliquary is currently limited.
