Don't look at me like that. I'm old enough to decide how I dress on my own.

And you are older than me... Again.

we had a nice "Day of German Unity" on friday,

we went again to the "Burgfestspiele" (ren fair) at Castle Ronneburg this time with a friend of mine
in theevening my dad invited us to roasted chestnuts he had collected in the woods and we drank a Bocksbeutel of Frankenwein (White Bacchus from Frankonia)
and tried two different polish Vodkas he got from polish friends and neighbours, both where quite good in their own way:
-Wodka Zoladkowa Gorzka flavored according to wiki with Artemisia, Gentia, Ginger, Pepper and a bunch of other things
-Zubrowka "Bison Brand Vodka" flavored with "bison grass" or "sweet gras"

Baby gates

Baby gates everywhere

Roommate moved out today. He took a job in Manhattan, and he's going to live with his sister in Connecticut until he can find a place in the city. I've known the guy for 13 years--he was in my original D&D group back in the 9th grade, and he's like family. This will be the first time other than my year in Savannah that he won't be either living in the same house or less than 10 minutes' drive away. It's going to be weird.

On another note, I just saw someone on Facebook refer to the late Paul Revere (the singer, not the revolutionary) as having died "too young." Dude, the guy was pushing 80. Let it go, for f##~'s sake.

You and me both

Back from pub. My stay there at convention afterparty was short... It was noisy, full of people, and borrring. Then I went to see some a pair of my friends (married) at their place, got rid of my small debt to them, and spend a few hours talking with them and playing with their cats. I also learned that he stopped playing RPGs almost completely because now he is into kendo, sport shooting, and running and does not have time - he also stated that doing things is more fun than talking about them (kendo). A bit of shame, but it's his life and his entertainments.

Silver Crusade

Mmm. Leek and potato soup.

And now there will be pecan pie.

Gooooooood Morning FaWtL land!

Busy, busy week for this dwarf. Tomorrow, I meet with my first client to finalize the scope of my project. Also, we have another Wrath of the Righteous session. Next weekend, its camping with AZ's brother Lebreton.

Also, with conclusion of book 2 of both Shattered Star and Wrath of the Righteous, I have a lot of loot to spend.

Yes, I've been blessed in the gaming realm as of late. It was nice when my RotR group broke up into two and I got into both games.

Also, having a family that games as well is great. It is a built in game group.

I have 30 years of gaming that I missed before I discovered that I liked RPGs to make up.

So apparently 'Twin Peaks' is coming back in 2016. Due to a certain quote from the show, I'm convinced David Lynch has had this planned for a very long time.

Sleepy day today. Have I spent so much energy on convention that I went into recovery mode?

Have I mentioned that my game convention lecture on Saturday was dedicated to building monsters?

Dark Archive

Yesterday my one friend decided to prove why we don't let him GM. He needed a 20 to hit my (unintentional) AC build. He critted me twice, and hit several more times. He got 4 back to back 20s that night.

My impatience is killing me!
