I....have to agree with this assessment of that series of video games. And I will probably be spending the evening playing more Mass Effect 3....Liara is totally that annoying friend who has issues with boundaries....
I'd honestly be more inclined to put Kaidan in that category, myself...

There's a reason I chose not to save stalker-boy. His boundary issues go well past annoying. Maybe he's less creepy if you're playing a male Shepherd, but I spent the first game wanting to slap him during every conversation.

Nope. Either way, he says pretty much the same stuff in the third game. To me it seemed less like boundary issues than a total inability to pick up on social cues.

It also occurs to me that I'm talking about fictional characters like they're real people. I should probably do something about that...

The heat wave here in Finland has made a total mess of my sleep cycle...

Good morning FaWtL folk. Hope everyone is well and has a good day today. The rains have come in force and the temperature is cooling hereabouts, more familiar territory on our Isles. Hope the weather is treating ye all well too.

Same here, well not so much the rain..... yet.....

But tonight is the usual gaming, after last weeks lack of Feng Shui hopefully this week will be different. And I'll probably end up going somewhere random for a meal beforehand.

EDIT: Cool friend texted me & we're meeting for pizza, hopefully they won't be a picky as last weeks restaurant.

Dark Archive

Cool stuff, hope you enjoy the game. :) Thursday night gaming night here too, though GM has been having a busy week, so there's a little ? over whether the game will be going ahead. Will probably hit up some Payday if it's not though, and that's also awesome, so still a win.

Pizza:
Pineapple - Blessing or Blasphemy?

Grumble-grumble.

Mother's surgery was moved. She won't be able to fly for at least two months afterwards and go to Poland to grab her new ID and the old one expires in December... Which means that she needs to go now. And by now I mean be there and back in the next three weeks.

Duh. I hate looking for planes and buses...

Also, the prices in such short time. Argh.

It also means that with mother going to Poland she could pay some bills, which would make me stay here in England a little bit longer... Thankfully I have bought my plane ticket anyway. Well, some more money for staying and working longer could be useful but my sanity well being is reason enough to go back soon.

So I met one of the instructional coaches. I was then informed she recognized my voice from "my video."

"...What video?" I asked, thinking perhaps they had recorded my interview since it was over webcam.
"Oh, what was it...a lit review of some sort."

I paused in puzzlement. I don't even have a video camera for making videos, and I don't review anyth-

...except for that one time when the library staff was asking for a variety of people to film book reviews for the blog and wanted a student involved in addition to the professors and faculty they had lined up...

...aaaaaand that while everyone else in on this review series was choosing meaningful classic books and socially significant commentaries, I'm blathering on about "I THINK SCIENCE FICTION IS COOL."

By this point, I am various shades of pink and facepalming to the point my glasses have all but left my head, and the coach is laughing.

heehee....

i would have hired you on the spot.

I only did the stupid review because they let me do it while I was on the clock and therefore didn't have to shelf-read and because being an academic library, they were rather short on fun books, and I was told they'd order a copy of whatever books we reviewed.

Spoiler:
I don't mind it on my pizza, especially since you can get so many sweet pizza's nowadays. Sometimes it's really nice with a cheap frozen pizza, complimenting the tomato sauce. However it's never generally my first choice for a topping.

Pizza Additions:
I agree with DSXMachine on this. Pineapple can be decent, good even, addition, but not a first choice. Adding pineapple to a meat during braising, on the other hand... Yum-yum!

DSX - Savendir just introduced himself to Ulath in Souls for a Devil. And I'm glad Luce reacted favorable to Caladrel.

Pizza:
Cool. It's my favourite topping, but I still wouldn't have it on its own, like ye say. Adds a lot to a nice meat though, like pepperoni or salami. Just curious on other people's take. Most people hereabouts won't share a pizza with me because of it. :P

Game cancelled, as expected really. A shame, but that's life. GM is free for less concentration full gaming though, so we'll all meet online later and shoot some cops/zombies. :P

Pizza:
Heck yes I'll take pineapple on my pizza.

Granted there's very little I won't take on a pizza. Of the common toppings, the only ones I don't like are onions, peppers, and anchovies.

My usual go-to pizza of choice is Meat Lover's with mushrooms and black olives added.

Pizza:
I used to work at a Papa John's Pizza right next to Syracuse University. The neighborhood had a lot of students from overseas, particularly India and Pakistan, and we noticed that a lot of them would always order the same pizza, which we (somewhat insensitively) dubbed the New Delhi Special. At first, the ingredients didn't seem to make any sense, but then we tried it and realized that some god among men had figured out how to make s*%*ty Papa John's pizzas taste like damned good Indian curry. Now, any time I eat there, I order it, and then enjoy the look of surprise on the delivery driver's face when he finds out I'm a white guy.

The New Delhi Special:
- red sauce
- light cheese
- green peppers
- yellow (banana) peppers
- jalapeño peppers
- chicken
- onions
- pineapple
- cinnamon sugar
- crushed red pepper

No joke, it's f#+&ing delicious.

Man I'd be tempted to try it if it weren't for all the pepper and onions.

*sigh* There might be too much ingredients to get it as a custom made pizza. Also, I doubt if pizzerias in Poland have cinnamon sugar...

Red sauce is the standard tomato sauce used on pizzas or does it refer to something else?

Damn, all this talk of Pizza is making me want some. *picks up the phone to order a pie*

Dr. Oz says pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. He also says that snake oil is half off this week, so get it while it's hot.

Nothing stays good for you for long, it seems. I hear milk is actually bad for your bones these days! I just ignore the lot and eat what I like these days. Easier than trying to keep up with the latest 180's.

Good morning FaWtL folk. :) Hope everyone is well today, and has a good day ahead. Weather's a little dull, a little wet, a little familiar. None too shabby.

I also hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend ahead of them too. Thank the RNG it's Friday, eh? :)

Weather is not conducive to outdoor adventures, but we got by fine last time the weather was poorly, this time will be fine too. I look forward to the end of day, and a weekend of singing along to cartoons, counting blocks, and general mini-merriment. :)

How did the bank robbing go?

I've got some board-games & pizza tonight, whilst tomorrow is a leaving party (so much alcohol to be consumed...literally).

Morning. *yawn*

I feel sleep on the mere thought of Saturday overtime. Getting back home after 10 PM. Getting up at six o'clock. Still, money is money. Especially that I lend my mother money for plane tickets.
