Cool, now I get to be some giant, sentient slug's decoration.

Nekkid decorating?!? Oh my!!!
you'd make an interesting mast for a ship.
Speaking of, my wife finally got 100% completion in gta5. She has since moved on to assassins creed 4. Its going to be a game we play together, as she hated the ship battles in 3, and I am decidedly...not stealthy.

My second group doesn't seem to want to continue the Legacy of Fire campaign I had been running, and the only reason for that is two players in said group thinking that 3.5e is inferior to Pathfinder, even though nothing in the two sessions really highlighted this alleged inferiority. We all originally agreed that this campaign would be using 3.5e rules since we had only been playing Pathfinder, GURPS and 2e D&D so far. I just feel sad when the system I consider better is both overlooked and demonized.

You really only have two options. Either change groups to find a group that prefers 3.5, or adapt to the system your group prefers. Otherwise you're just going to keep running into this particular hurdle. There might not be anything within the current events that triggered the players' worries, yes, but I imagine they're also looking down the road, and especially comparing what their characters will be able to do - class abilities, feats, spells, etc. - down the road and comparing 3.5 classes to PF.
It's not just the rules that are different, and I imagine the players are keenly aware of that. Classes got a lot of extra love, especially a lot of the classes that had several front-loaded content and sparse middle levels that PF fleshed out. PF offers them a lot more options and I imagine they're really starting to miss those.
I can't much sympathize as I agree with your players =P I've long since converted most of the 3.5 stuff I wanted to keep.

@Orthos = One of the players in that group actually likes 3.5e and usually hears me out when I explain what's wrong in PF by comparison. Two other players are generally neutral with regards to what we play. It's a five-man group, and I've yet to confirm the ultimate fate of this Legacy of Fire campaign. Might be that they just want to postpone it instead of ending it altogether.

Sure, though I'll have to wait till work's over before I can PM.
As for stats, I haven't got those done yet since I mainly made this creature for a story. The description I have so far is of a horse-like creature with somewhat thick fur, sturdy hooves more akin to stone than keratin, a long and sturdy tail with four spikes at the end (similar to a stegosaurus) that actually contain a paralyzing poison, and a somewhat canine head. Omnivorous and sometimes a bit aggressive, some have been successfully tamed as mounts. I can see orcs preferring them over horses, though they aren't the only ones who might own these creatures.

I love 3.x myself. I love pathfinder too, but I feel it more goes in a set direction moreso than is a logical extension of 3.x. My homebrew is 3.x based, and while I enjoy getting ideas from pathfinder I more translate them to 3.x than find things in 3.x to convert to pathfinder.

Gah, my anxiety and worries about failing as a writer are acting up now that people told me horror stories about publishers and their own ambitions being crushed. Apparently those guys make it insanely hard to get a book published if the idea isn't bowing down to modern trends, even though another friend of mine has said that the modern innovations are slowly turning the whole publishing business more or less obsolete, which in turn makes independent publishing an option.
Does anyone here happen to know anything about programming languages by the way?

Got an email from a buddy the other day, guy I used to work with. He was the lead contractor on a bunch those inspections I used to oversee for the Navy.
So he's down here at his company's Houston office this week and next runnin a training class. Since I get off work early today I'm gonna go meet up with him at his offices and we're gonna go grab lunch.
