I know, I Know, at least the Americans have one day to go, but in Germany the main day is the 24th (but national holidays are 24, 25, 26)
I will go to my mum for dinner and we will go to the open air candlelight church service in the oldtown of Gelnhausen
Frohe Weihnachten
Hyvää Joulua
Merry Christmas
Joyeaux Noël
God Jul
and Feliz Navidad all!
Hmph. My Italian skills have scarcely come in handy on FAWTL...
Buon Natale to any Italian lurkers!

Scared about losing everything. You know, the usual.I know it's not much that can be done or said via a post, but keep hanging in there. Life as a keen predilection for surprising us with good stuff when we're down, as long as we keep positive and open for it.
Best of wishes to you.
Nearly every time something horrible has happened to me, it led to something that ended up being positive in the end - even if it just helped me figure out how to take crappy events with aplomb, or reminded me of who and what I really should value, as I lose something important. I can only hope you discover that this stuff, though undoubtely crappy as all getout, ends up leading you to something positive, somewhere!

Sometimes my in-laws piss me off. We get down here and they tell me they want to buy me a snow blower for Christmas. And they want me to pick it out.
So now I feel conflicted: the cheaper snow blowers suck ass. If I was goign to buy one myself, it'd be a gas blower with an electric start. But those are expensive.
Stoopid inlaws.
Go to the one you want. If you get the cheap one, they'll be wasting their money. Then suggest that they instead give you a gift certificate equal to the amount they feel comfortable with, as you think it's too much, and you'll use it toward the purchase of that snow blower as soon as you can.
if they still cover the whole cost, great. But you gave them a graceful out. :)

Breakfast: 3 strips of bacon, two eggs over-easy cooked in the grease, and a hunk of crusty French bread.
Dinner tonight: Beef stew with red wine, garlic mashed potatoes, and the rest of the delicious bread.
While I was at the bakery, a mini black forest cake spoke to me. It said, "Eat me," and I will.
Fact of the day: My boyfriend evidently does not own a toaster. I find that odd. Fortunately, I knew I had enough French bread to have that in the morning in place of regular toast.
Second fact: The kitchen now smells like garlic. I had to open a window. It still smells like garlic, but now it's freezing cold, too.
Does the cold take your mind off the garlic smell? Like biting your lip to make your stubbed toe feel better?

Are you sure you need these things in what I am assuming is your cars? Although I would love to go door to door selling a knock sensor for your front door as a scam...that would be funny.
meh; it drives good now; doesn't go up to 3000 rpms if I try to accelerate to 50.
It must be crucial.

By the way, Aeglos, do they in your region serve carp for Christmas?
not in my family, but carp is one of the traditional german holy evening dishes, as are goose and potato salat with sausages.
when I was a kid we mostly had potato salad or rabbit, the last 10 years my mum and me always made pork loin with gorgonzola souce and spätzlesabine has carp with her family today
