Thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm Dave, aka BoomerET.

I'm one of Sebastian's FAWTL guild recruits.

BoomerET

Sebastian's sending spies?!

Boomer?

Hold it right there, cylon! The FaWtLactica will not suffer your sabbotage!

By the way, has anyone ever bothered to check where is this ship actually going?

PD: Welcome to FaWtL, Boomer! There are donuts on the back and complimentary fruit baskets over the table.

Thanks for the well-wishes, guys.

Happy b-day, Freehold. Hope it's shiny.

And welcome!

Er, Boomer... hate to break it to you, but the rule here is the first post on a page is nekkid.

I find Sebastian's recruitment of nekkid guildies somewhat, er, risque.

Howdy and welcome.

Welcome to the new kids in the thread. The one rule of FAWTL is no politics. And no religion. The TWO rules of FAWTL are: no politics, and no religion. And no sports. THREE rules are: no politics, no religion, no sports. And TotP is nekkid.

I'll come in again.

It's about the journey, mate, not the destination!

Now I'll get us back on course right here in a jiffy, no don't you worry, I just gotta hack back into the controls here, just a sec... A, A, A, A, A, A... no that's not it, A, A, A, A, A, B...

Hey, this guy's got a crazy voice!

Does competitive nakedness count as a sport?

Whoa! Hey, not okay with the getting picked up there!

LOL!

This makes me think about how when managers say things like "We're here to fix the problem not the blame." they are usually to blame.

How competitive?

hello And welcome Boomer and Winterwalker

I never understood the no sports thing.

Also, welcome new guys!!!!!

Also, thanks everyone else that I did not thank earlier for birthday wishes!!!

Hello and happy birthdays and get everyone well.

*cough* I have got sore throat but the gas installation is at least finished and today I WILL COOK A REAL MEAL!

Or peas with carrot. I have yet to decide if I'll check the shop before closing if there is anything worth adding to peas and carrot for an affordable price.

Same reason as no politics and no religion. Get two people in here talking about rival teams/colleges/leagues/whatever and it can get just as violent and unpleasant.

I think the Europeans have been bending that rule with soccer talk, but the rest of us simply glaze over.

Have a great time Orthos.

Yep, because it's not competitive. We know our teams are the best/worst :P

To be fair, soccer's not a real sport, so discussing it isn't really breaking the rule.

well, in some areas of the world soccer talk would fall under the no religion rule ;-)

Back from shop with a decent 1 kg chunk of meat. I haven't decided if I'll put it into peas and carrot or fry alone...

Mince it and make chili-con-carne!

No, it's too good to be minced. I thought about minced meat for the peas and carrot but the bargain for that solid piece was too good (30% off).

Back from test. If I'm reading the required scores right, I passed, but going to wait until I get my scores officially in the mail to officially say it.

So we'll officially congratulate you then :P

Home! No work until next Wednesday =D

Back from the Christmas bbq at the office. Got a massive box of my favourite chocolates from Secret Santa, which will be thoroughly devoured tonight while watching Fringe.

Also got the last gift I was missing (for my sister), so I'm all set for Christmas. Which is great, as my feet are killing me and I want nothing more than spending today and tomorrow doing the equivalent effort of a potato floating in space. And I'm talking about those lazy potatoes, those with tentacles and stuff, not those sporty idaho potatoes with smooth, aerodynamical surfaces.

Awesomo-fantastico, Scin! Unofficially, of course.

Tentacled starfaring potato? It could be an interesting addition to the bestiary...

I'm listening to a podcast where they're interviewing an Australian geneticist, and he keeps pronouncing the word "skeletal" as ske-LEE-tul (rhymes with beetle), as opposed to SKE-le-tul. Is this an Aussie thing, or is this guy just weird?

Charlie did ok on the flight in, although he refused to nap. Finally got him down at my parents house later on. All in all, the flight was nowhere near as nightmarish as I thought it might be.

Grrr. Don't you just love it when people just assume you don't have anything planned, so obviously you can do them a favour, right this minute?

On the bright side - managed to do all my Christmas shopping in under 2 hours (yay for being semi-organised).

Went out to dinner with my folks and the inlaws last night. Good food. I had a bowl of gumbo and a fried catfish sandwich.
