So sorry Drejk. :(

He wasn't very close friend but still I feel like I was hit with a brick. Mostly because it was so unexpected.

my condolences as well Drejk

First post in nearly 8 hours?!

Is everybody sick?

*cough-cough*

I was shopping for the last two hours.

Commiserations Drejk. Hope you are holding up well, remember the good times.

Man, I don't have the words. I am sorry to hear.

Good Morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Sunday! Charlie slept until 0445 this morning!! We're making progress.

Scarab Sages

Sometimes my in-laws piss me off. We get down here and they tell me they want to buy me a snow blower for Christmas. And they want me to pick it out.

So now I feel conflicted: the cheaper snow blowers suck ass. If I was goign to buy one myself, it'd be a gas blower with an electric start. But those are expensive.

Stoopid inlaws.

Scarab Sages

Also, there damnable beagle knocked Charlie down and scared him.

Scarab Sages

So now my kid is traumatized.

Scarab Sages

Otherwise, I had bacon for breakfast and have downed about 5 or 6 cups of coffee today.

Scarab Sages

And I was able to get some beer yesterday. Good beer.

Scarab Sages

Is it time to go back to Philly yet?

But I did find out that my younger brother is going to come into town next weekend for our dad's birthday. So I'll get to see him and his wife & kids. And they'll get to see Charlie. Huzzah!

Scarab Sages

And at some point, we plan to go see The Hobbit.

Offer to put some money towards it, explain why and pick out a gas one. Even In-laws can be reasonable...I'm sure....well there might be a first time.

Scarab Sages

That's what I've been thinking, actually. Of course, the other problem is that I had wanted to put a little more research into it. They're making me rush, which pisses me off. If I had known before hand, I could have talked with some of my co-workers about ones they might own.

Breakfast: 3 strips of bacon, two eggs over-easy cooked in the grease, and a hunk of crusty French bread.

Dinner tonight: Beef stew with red wine, garlic mashed potatoes, and the rest of the delicious bread.

While I was at the bakery, a mini black forest cake spoke to me. It said, "Eat me," and I will.

Fact of the day: My boyfriend evidently does not own a toaster. I find that odd. Fortunately, I knew I had enough French bread to have that in the morning in place of regular toast.

Second fact: The kitchen now smells like garlic. I had to open a window. It still smells like garlic, but now it's freezing cold, too.

Silver Crusade

Got my presents wrapped yesterday, so I can spend the day making stew and writing [redacted]. Today or tomorrow I do have 2 gift certificates to be emailed, though.

Lo! And it was said that those who have access to actual bread and not some sort of poor substitute need no toasters.

Lo! And it was said that warm smell of garlic is better than cold smell of garlic.

Lo! And it was said that when cake speaks one shall listen.

Drejk speaks the truth.

I discovered that good, crusty bread is much better than toast for dipping in egg yolks.

Silver Crusade

Damn. Now I want another piece of that bread. Let's see...

Yeah, there's enough.

*cuts*

Scarab Sages

I thought the cake was a lie?

Scarab Sages

Got the kid down for a nap, but he had a mysterious rash. I blame the filth of my in-laws house.

It might be a lie but certainly isn't a liar.

Silver Crusade

This cake speaks only the truth.

Technically "eat me" is imperative and thus cannot be deemed true/false.

Silver Crusade

Yes, but its promise of deliciousness is a statement of fact that I can verify.

Merry Christmas. I still have msot of you on my Christmas Card list, but because of how hectic it has been around here, much as last year they will be out late. So if you get a card from me late, well I am sure many know why. Sorry, doing the best I can right now.

Once again I hope you all have a wonderfull holiday season.

It maybe months before I can hope to be on regular again or putting in more than one poorly typed post.

The Exchange

Also some like CH have moved and I do not have an updated address.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE !!!!!!!

I know, I Know, at least the Americans have one day to go, but in Germany the main day is the 24th (but national holidays are 24, 25, 26)

I will go to my mum for dinner and we will go to the open air candlelight church service in the oldtown of Gelnhausen

Why do I always seem to have the worst insomnia the night before I have to drive across the state?

Apaprently I snore when I sleep. Are there cures for that?

Raining. Duh. And I have to go buy a few things before shops close for holiday.

Depending on the cause of the snoring: Surgery, dieting, or a weird thing-a-magick they put up your nose.

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!

I'm still trying to recover from yesterday's Christmas celebration with my father's side of the family; it was a good, exhausting amount of fun. Seems someone discovered cloning, though, as I can't believe how fast we're multiplying.

We got our grandmother to play Halo 4 and actually shoot some of our uncles. The lady has some moves.

Scarab Sages

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Christmas Eve! We went over to my wife's aunt's house yesterday and visited with some of her family. Charlie, of course, was a huge hit. They had good food as well.

Scarab Sages

Charlie's still got a weird rash, but it looks a lot better this morning. I'm going with getting him away from the mom-in-laws house. That's where he first came down with the rash. Gonna take him to a doctor today.

Right now he's running around in his super hero shirt (it even comes with a cape). He's yelling "super Charlie".
