Math test went well-ish. Some of the folks came back to class. We only lost four not six people for a total of eight left. The instructor may be back next week. We'll see. I think the class will be in open revolt if he doesn't show, and possibly even if he does. Nobody is really happy about how the situation was handled by the college.What happened to, mlady? The prof hurt his back and has been out for a month+. We've had rotating subs some of the time but not necessarily for the whole class period and they don't have access to lesson plans or other materials. Basically we've been stuck trying to teach ourselves calculus. :/
And thanks to the time sink that this has become I am now also hopelessly behind in my other classes as well.

Wow, yeah, that's when you start screaming. You pay a LOT of money per class, and if they're not delivering, you should at least get to take the course again at no charge - and should probably get some sort of refund.

At the very least they should refund our contact hour fee. Not that I'm holding my breath. That's what should happen, not what will.
I hate college bs as well as math. I will gladly go to town on this professor as well as the bursars if yo wish.

My phone screening went well. Fortunately I have max ranks in Profession (Corporate Buzzspeak). They want me to interview.

Me: "You know, I just realized that I know four openly schizophrenic people, and they all have extensive record collections. You think there's any sort of correlation between the two?"

that's awesome. One of my best friends works for allied Barton. What's your beat?
Don't know yet, but it will be either one of the mills in East Chicago or Burns Harbor for Mittel. Good gig from what my friend has told me. We're going to check out the sites tomorrow or Friday.

I just received an e-mail inviting me for a job interview on Monday. I'd name it a positive beginning of the day.

So, part of our morning ritual is that we get to the work, walk in the building, and part at the stairwell (I work upstairs, the wife works downstairs). As we part, I usually give the wife a kiss on the cheek.
This morning, after the kiss, I start walking up the stairs and some dude I don't know says:
"Where's my kiss?"
Right there, I knew it was going to be a weird day.
