Well... that was quite apropos.

Ouch, although Nekkid (well-half clothed) Fredrik Ljungberg is an attractive proposition, for those that like that.

Maureen Lipman recalled how her late husband Jack Rosenthal had been working on a play in Los Angeles where he was accompanied by a young female researcher. "Crossing the hotel lobby he saw an old, saggy man with a gorgeous girl one-third his age. He thought, 'do you have any idea how ridiculous you look?' then realised he was walking towards a mirror."

More of a problem someone my age is likely to have. More women troubles.

get a paddling pool, two bikinis, large bottle of baby oil and take the winner

I thought this was E7 until I re-read the alias.

I'm proud of you.

I also laughed out loud and may have pulled a stomach muscle in the process.

They look like terrorists. It is my duty to round them up and "waterboard" them.

Go with the one that consumes bacon.

Spoiler:

This bears worth quoting / repeating:

aeglos wrote:

secondly out of my own experience, make sure you can be happy with yourself again before going into a relationship. especially if the girls are a bit unstable

thirdly, try to avoid to rush into something to numb the pain or without inner closure about the past, it will not end well

I seem to recall that other girl that you had to break it off previously not too long ago before it got serious for exactly as aeglos implied in the third remark. What make these two different?

Are either of them holding a gun to your head and requesting your exclusivity? Personally, I don't think you're in the position to go there quite yet.

I have run into your situation recently, but I've held off on even anything casual at the moment because I still haven't got my $#!T together yet (although a friends with benefits offer does sound appealing, but wisdom and experience informs me it's merely a compromise ruse at first).

They're cute, I admit.

Pace yourself.

I'm sorry, Taig. My friend just lost her even older kitty not even a week ago. I'm glad they are living such long lives, but it still hurts to lose them.

I'm currently playing Blitz The League II, and it's very much like this. I prefer the original, because this one goes a little over the top- you can work someone over after a tackle with a series of punches, and you can select which limb you injure during a tackle. It sounds fun, but it makes the game a bit more complicated when all you want to do is get that late, dirty hit in.

So... rugby players would be hockey-players if they came from Canada or Scandinavia?

Well at least in Ice-Hockey that's a 5 minute penalty - this wasn't even that.

I did know a pro-rugby player, when I met him his injury list included a knackered knee and dislocated testicle.

In the game, they do x-rays zoomed in so you can see the damage you do to the other person. I've seen several ruptured spleens, and one dislocated testicle.

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Saturday! I hope everyone has an awesome day.

Scarab Sages

Sorry to hear about the cat, Taig. My condolences.

Scarab Sages

My own somewhat good news is that we get to start early today at 3 pm. So that moves up our completion time tonight and I won't have to be getting back to my hotel at 3 in the morning.

Hello, Mr Aberzombie; a fine felicitous day to thee and of thy household.

Scarab Sages

And the Starbucks said, "Let there be COFFEE!"

And, lo, there was COFFEE. And it was good.

Don’t say it's a fine morning or I'll shoot ya!

Scarab Sages

Awesome movie by the way.

Scarab Sages

I can remember a time when, come the weekend, you could always find a John Wayne movie on somewhere. Now, not so much. Very sad.
