Do racial hit dice add to your level.
so If i was a level 1 fighter with 2 racial hit dice dose that make me level 3 for the exp chart?
Probably at least 3rd level.
ECL (equivalent character level)in pathfinder is still a matter of "just eyeball it". I don't think there is a better possible system. Starting with racial hit dice probably means you also get better stats. Depending on how good the hit dice, stats, and monster abilities are your DM decides to start your character out at a particular level... almost always with the minumum as your racial+ class hit dice.
It entirely depends on what sort of racial hit dice they are. There is a nice table in the back of the bestiary that shows the average CR rating for creature types based on their hit dice.
For a typical humanoid, 2 racial hit dice equal one class level.
