Can I apply the Eidolon Reach evolution to a weapon attack? If not, what if I apply the evolution to a pair of claws that then wield a weapon in an attack?
I am also curious. For a bipedal eidolon it seems sensible that longer arms would allow reaching further with a wielded weapon.
But "sensible" and "rules legal" do not always agree.

Bumping this. Anyone have an answer?
The reach only applies to one attack, so no Reach on Claws would not increase reach with a manufactured weapon if the eidolon had Weapon Training.
Reach (Ex): One of an eidolon's attacks is capable of striking at foes at a distance. [b]Pick one attack[b]. The eidolon's reach with that attack increases by 5 feet.
As far as choosing Reach [Weapon], that might work.

This is a good question. Since weapon use is it's own evolution, I'd say any weapon used by the modified limb would have it's range increased by that amount. The attack in question obviously can't be used. There are other considerations, such as the "dead" area for most polearms expanding as well. For instance, if you have Reach (Claws) and wield a longsword, you'd have 10' reach with the longsword. If you used a Halberd, for instance, you'd have a reach of 15' but the 10' around the eidolon would be the halberd's dead area. You'd also be unable to use either of the claws holding the halberd for attacks and AoOs.
If you or your GM are concerned about it being too powerful of a evolution, require it to be added to the limbs, then require it be taken again for each level of weapon proficiency - i.e. Reach (Simple Weapons) and Reach (Martial Weapons).
That's my take on it, anyways.
