DM: "Ok, your musket has misfired and gained the broken condition"
Gunslinger: "I draw my greatsword and charge into battle."
The first thing that jumps out at me with the Gunslinger is that it has complete proficiency with Martial Weapons. It may just be me, but this seems more than a little off. Yes, it is supposed to be a fighter alt. However, there doesn't seem to be any support for the proficiencies beyond this.
Suggestion: Make it a base class, give it an alternative proficiencies list. Simple weapons, firearms, light martial weapons, and rapiers, or some other variant list focusing on more swashbuckler-esque weaponry.
Gunslinger: "Ok, I apply poison to my bullet. Now I need a ranged touch attack to apply this poison to my foe, right?"
DM: "But....that bullet would rub in the chamber..and wouldn't the shot get rid of the poison coating?"
Gunslinger: "There's nothing against it in the rules!"
Not only is poison an overly potent pair with guns since it's delivered via ranged touch attack, but it makes little sense when thinking about how to actually apply poison to musket balls.
Suggestion: Clause that says that poisons cannot be applied to firearms ammo through nonmagical means.

What I got out of this post ultimately is "Gunslingers can't have anything going their way."
The class is horribly broken and unplayable. Eeven monks are 10x better than this class is, heck NPC classes are better than Gunslingers right now.
I quite like the idea of taking advantage of the poison, it's a fun little trick until you realize the cost of said poisons on top of your bullets will put you in debt and that's if you don't poison yourself on top of that monsters often have a very high fortitude save, rendering your poison wasted.
EDIT: So in short, don't stop the gunslinger from having fun. He is already playing a gunslinger so he isn't having any to begin with. If anything you should encourage him to find new things to do.

It's not about the gunslinger not having anything go his way. It's about the gunslinger being a gunslinger.
My concerns are those of flavor. The gunslinger shouldn't be running around with greatswords, and poisons and guns make little sense.
I was going to ramble about poisons and saves, but that's off topic However, the risk of poisoning yourself is on topic. Applying poison to a marble sized projectile without poisoning yourself would be rediculously hard, and even having Poison Use would be ineffective.
The gunslinger should have fun, and looking over the class there's nothing preventing him from doing so. There's nothing in the class that is prohibitive from fun. The mechanics of firearms themselves are a bit of a pain, but that's not the class.

The gunslinger at the moment has no flavor. Why does it have no flavor? Because the devs don't even know what a gunslinger should be. The class is essentially a Pollock painting. No offense to fans of Pollock, I myself am a big fan of experimental forms of art and music.
Also, it is the association of the gunslinger to guns IS why the class is no fun. There is also the matter of the deeds and grit, namely that the grit you have won't be spent doing anything interesting, you'll spend them making sure your weapon doesn't blow up.
Is this a fault of the class, or firearms? Both honestly.

Already done! Check the last sentence of the "Loading a Firearm" section:
Firearm ammunition cannot be treated with poison.

Huh. Fair enough. It always seems to be one line that escapes me. Hell of a place to put it though, under loading. C'est la vie.
