Since the grit system already acts a lot like the ki-sytem, why not just make the Gunslinger just another ki-using class? While ki does have cultural associations, it already exists in Pathfinder as a mechanic for "that little something extra." By allowing grit to be ki, ki can be used from or with other classes.

Really good point here. No need to replicate existing mechanics under different names.

Make an Inquisitor and give him guns. Better yet, make a Zen Archer monk and give him guns (ouch!).

there was a prc for that floating around here some time back, let me see if i can find it.
I don't think they were going for that style. Maybe they could make a prestige class that would let you exchange grit for ki and vice-vera.
found it initiate of the black hand this is about as gunfu as it's going to get. Its homebrew ofcourse but still good.

By using Gunslinger to vary the versatility of the ki-mechanic, a viable alternative to the point-per-level psionics system is created.

Hey, thanks for the publicity. Heh. I actually started converting the PrC to a archetype but stopped until I saw what the final rules for guns were going to be.
In a this thread I converted much of that class into a Talent pool for the Gunslinger instead of the KI mechanic.
