Grit = action point

Is it just me or Grit would make an awsome action point system usable by anyone providing a good cinematic feel to characters actions?

They have that. It's called Hero Points and it's in the APG. You can regain them using the same 'daring act' ('heroic act') style mechanic, amongst other ways.

You're right, I just couldn't remember the mechanic behind hero points :( But in that case if they work almost the same, why do we need the Grit feature?

Because Hero Points are meant to be used far more rarely than Grit, which is a basic class mechanic.


Perhaps grit should be replaced with a mechanic that augments Hero Points for the class.
