Welcome everyone, i'm rushing through the modules as i have to translate everything, so i apologize in advance if i won't use the proper slangs or will change something in the AP.
For now i'll invite in Riddleport the following PCs:
Darius Pope - Human paladin male
Rast Hilden - Human cleric of Cayden male
Sanya Icefloe - Human sorcerer female
Gorag - Half orc alchemist male
Gysseannia - Elf rogue female

A player/DM i was talking with about a month ago had to drop off the boards due to technical issues, and so i was no longer able to talk to him and started this instead.
Now he is back, and since our old game had to stop he is asking to join us, is this ok to all of you ?

I am going to have a couple of traits to show my otherworldliness. I was thinking of having no shadow (in a world lit by candles, torches and lanterns, shadows are much more prevalant) and to have eyes of a solid color, or no color. I couldn't decide on an eye color, so I thought I would just roll randomly for the color based off of the color of the rainbow from red to violet and then black and white. That is nine colors, so on a ten, I'll reroll twice with one eye one color and the other another.
1d10 ⇒ 6
Six would be indigo (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, black, white)
On a side note, now that aasimar have a 3rd level spell-like ability, ]daylight instead of a 0 level spell-like ability, light, against the tiefling's 2nd level spell-like ability, darkness, I don't feel tieflings should continue to be penalized with a -2 to charisma to balance them out, but that's entirely up to you.

I'm a fan of the fighter class, more than ever when it is covered by a dwarf :)
rework yours , remember to include one trait related to the AP (one trait from the second darkness companion) and it should be OK.
Ask me before include APG stuff, as i usually know very little of that

Wow, this dwarf looks really wretched-I can already imagine him intimidating all upcoming draws..
I'll need to take some feat in order to annul his low Cha. In my games I have a trait that allows low Charisma modifier to be used as a bonus to Intimidate. I really think that Charisma could use some work.

One you can use is Intimidating Prowess to use you strength mod, though you still have to add your Charisma mod, it at least helps cancel it out a bit. Though in general, dwarfs seem to like to intimidate with their axe anyway ;).

I think that I'll let the rogue or the sorcerer be the party face. My role will probably be something like "See that ugly bastard with big axe? You can talk to me or to him - your choice..." *Bimbur rolls Assist Other*

Oh, Gandal, since you mentioned liking to be asked if something from the APG can be used, is it ok if Rast uses the Trade Subdomain for his domain? It is a subdomain of the Travel domain. Figured it fit better with his concept, being a brewer and not really having traveled much out of Riddleport.
From the info i found, Cayden only grants Exploration sub-domain, not the Trade one (from the sub-domains associated to the Travel domain). And if i'm not wrong a cleric must anyway choose a subdomain from those associated to his/her deity. Please check, you could consider dropping the Trade sub-domain for the Exploration one.

Asking right away here; how do you want some aspects of combat resolved?
Do you like to roll your initiative or let the GM do it so we save some posting ?
How do you resolve AoO in PbP ? And how often i should update rounds (only one post with the summary of the entire round, or in initiative groups, like one post every three or four that acted) ?

So long as it is rolled, I don't care if you ask the dice roller or I do.
How do you resolve AoO in PbP?
I only have one and the chances of having multiple opportunities are slim, so I don't care.

I like the one summary post of the whole round once all have posted their actions, modified by the actions of those going before them. There is one small problem with it in that the actions of the antagonists remain unknown until you post the round summary. This is only perfect if the antagonists are last in initiative. If they are somewhere in the middle or first, it should modify the actions of the characters.

for combat I think it is better if the DM rolls for the whole party, as it normally will save time and we can get right into the combat round. You can even roll with your dice at home, if it is faster. Then, for DM posting, I think it might be good to take advantage of spoilers, each person would have to keep track of what order they are in the initiative, then they would only be able to look at the actions that have occurred before their turn.

I'll open IC thread in few minutes, the first post only tells you the minimal info everyone knows. I put no spoilers, no knowledge checks or anything else. You'll have about 10 hours around the city before the gambling event in the evening, i'll wait your posts to see how you want to go on.
