Are the special abilities of the Mobile Fighter supposed to work with ranged attacks? I.e. could one build a "Mobile Archer"?

Because of the ability to get maximum Weapon Training bonus anytime you take a 5' step, mobile fighter seems like a great choice for a fighter who wants to use a wide variety of weapons - including a melee/ranged switch hitter.
My last character in our Pirate campaign was an Elven Mobile Fighter/Duelist who began duel wielding star knives. It was fun to play even with how little damage the star knives do, not sure how well it work with a bow but that all out attack while moving would be pretty awesome.
A Mobile Archer could also combine Rapid Attack with Rapid Shot at level 11 for shooting 3 arrows while making a single move action.
