Um, Am I Allowed to Read This?

So, I've set aside some time to start reading the Pathfinder Journals in each of the APs. (I read the one in RotRL when it first came out but don't remember too much; I'll have to reread.)

But I have a problem.

See, I never read any of CotCT because I'm hoping to find someone else to DM and run it for me. Same with CoT.

So, can I read the Pathfinder Journals in CotCT without getting any spoilers -- and same later down the road when I get to CoT.

I just started reading the SS AP and noticed that Robin Laws wrote the Pathfinder Journal in these. I really like Robin Laws and want to read them (yet want to read all the Journals in order) but I'm afraid that when I start the Patfinder Journal in CotCT I'll spoil my ability to run a PC in it later.

Do the Pathfinder Journals have spoilers?!?

normally, the pathfinder journals are player friendly, they offer both the player and GM a example of what life in that part of the world may be like. The first 3 AP (RotRL, CotCT and SD) are one story, after that the paths are tied to the city/country that the AP is in, but doesn't cross the AP adventure itself.

Thanks, Captain.

Sometimes there are easter eggs in the Journal for the AP. (Or, more often, references in later APs to earlier journals.) For instance, CotCT has a minor overlap with one of the RotRL journals that visits Korvosa, or the plot of the first 18 Journals (the Eando Kline stories) intersecting wth Serpent's Skull (that's not much of a secret: Eando Kline is on the cover of pathfinder #41, and the connection was featured on Friday's store blog.)

But nothing that would really be a spoiler.

The stuff after the module in the Adventure Paths are good to read as well, except for the Monsters unless you like reading about the creatures. But there are lots of good info, for example about the City of Korvosa in general wich your PC would know if you grew up there... :)

Yeah, the journals are specifically designed to help get characters into the local flavor for the AP's setting WITHOUT spoiling anything. Read all you like!
