Need an explanation about a weapon

Advice

Ok I am for the most part a newbie to Pathfinder (or any table top RPG for that matter [closest I have played is NWN and NWN2]) and I noticed in the Bestiary something that confused me. The weapon is a "+1 flaming composite longbow +14/+14/+9 (1d8+6/×3 plus 1d6 fire)", I understand the flaming composite longbow and the damage portion.

But I am slightly confused about the +1 I think it means that it gets +1 to the attack roll but I'm not sure (I just want to know for sure).

My main question is about the +14/+14/+9 part, what does that mean?

+1 is saying it is a +1 magical weapon. It gets +1 to hit and damage from an enhancement bonus to the weapon. This is calculated into the numbers shown.

The +14/+14/+9 is the full attack line for the monster. It is his bonus to attack when making a full attack. He likely has rapid shot feat giving him 2 attacks at his highest BAB (but all attacks at -2), and 1 itterative attack for having a a +6 to +10 BAB.

What Caineach said. For the most part, monster attack/damage bonuses are already figured so you can just use what is there, without having to worry about the bonuses from weapons that might be mentioned. The exception to that would be templates; if you add a template to a monster you will need to do the additional calculations yourself.

Thanks explained perfectly, I was considering using the creature in a future campaign and I just wanted to make sure I understand the what it meant.

That stat block looks like the Erinyes Devil. If you're new to the game, you might want to consider sticking to lower level play until you get your feet under you, in regards to Rules-Fu. Otherwise, things can get pretty frustrating.

Welcome to The Game, and don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have. This is one of the most "newbie friendly" boards you'll find.

Good luck with your campaign.
