Thnx a lot, but I can't get that one either to work. I get a error msg. Weird. Any suggestions? (and yes, I have logged into my google doc account.)

Ah, now I've checked I see that I get asked to log in to google docs, which never happened before and does not happen with the other guides.

How peculiar.

Internet Explorer gives a login page.

Opera or Chrome says the document doesn't exist.

Liberty's Edge

I did a work around to get to it and got a " this account does not have access to this document. Something happened to the permissions:

We're sorry, but xxxxxx@aol.com does not have access to this document.

You are signed in as xxxxxx@aol.com, but that email account hasn't been granted permission to this document.

Please sign in as a different user or request access to this document.

Find out more about this topic at the Google Docs Help Center.

Though I only played a few levels before the campaign broke up, I loooved my switch hitter Ranger. If we would have made to say Level 15, that would have been the test.

Anyway sorry to hear of the problems. Let's try here to all of Treantmonks work. From there it's easy to get to "Rangers."

Edit: That doesn't work either! Curses. The other docs some up. Oh well, at this moment it's easy to find on the topic list outside.

Greetings all,

I've received several email requests for access to my Ranger guide over the past 3 days.

When I accessed my google doc account there was a message that there had been unusual activity and it had been shut down.

Once I got it going again, my Ranger guide had a message that it had been flagged for inappropriate content.

I've submitted for google to review the doc, not sure whether there's a picture on there I'm not allowed or something, there's no message as to why it's been flagged.

Apparently I cannot share the doc until the review is done, so I'll message here when I know more. Until then, I guess consider the guide temporarily down.

Thanks to those that submitted the requests, I would never had known anything was wrong otherwise.

Thank you for your response (and awesome guide!) Some kind soul on the forum sent me a copy so I'm good, but thanks again and please, PLEASE keep up the good work. Hope the stuff with bigbrother in google sorts itself out. Best of luck

Ranger guide seems up again.
Is Treatmonk ever upgrading Guide to include 2 handed style from APG?

Off Topic:How long do these guides take? I start working on a cleric one a while back, and it seems like it was taking forever. One day I might start it up again.

My intent has always been to complete APG sections for all my guides, however, that is a bit daunting frankly due to the quantity of guides and the quantity of quality options in the APG.

Compile this with my Wife working more mornings and less evenings (meaning less nights alone with nothing to do but write guides) and not feeling hugely motivated right now, and the APG updates just feel a bit too much like work and not enough like fun right now. That could change, but certainly not right away.

To answer your question Wraithstrike - if the class is a primary spellcaster it takes a long time. Probably anywhere from 16-32 hours. If the class has no spells at all, it takes much less, maybe 4-8 hours depending how in-depth you get. Secondary casters probably add 5 or 6 hours work to that.

I plugged out the Monk guide in 2 evenings, probably 3-4 hours the first night and less than that the second. The Bard guide I spent 2-3 times longer, the Wizard guide I have no idea - I picked away at it for what seems like forever (after listing all the spells I evaluated 2 or 3 at a time, sometimes I would get on a roll and do 6 or more in one sitting) (90% of the time on the spell guide).

If you are going to include APG options, you better add 50% or so to those times.

A Cleric guide including all the APG options (the Cleric domain section is massive) would be a crazy amount of work, but would probably be the premiere tool on this forum if done well. Basically, if working on it is fun, it will take a long time, but so what? If it feels like work, there is no way it's worth it, unless you've figured out a way to get payment in more than applause.

It kind of feels like work, but every time I make a class I have to go through the same decisions again. I figure if I do one guide it will save me a lot of trouble in the long run, and then I can present it to the community to be picked apart. I will probably do a core one first, and then look at the APG options.

Way off topic:

Wraithstrike, please O please consider making a Pathfinder Cleric guide. Since Clerics can cast spells without choosing by level, like Sorcerers, or have to deal with favored schools, like Wizards, feel free to leave out spells, or deal with them later. But a feat, domain, strategy and tactics forum would be most welcome.
