1336: This is About Writing This
OK, that was excellent, and an extremely clever title.

On a side note, last week Rich shared to backers a long delayed Kickstarter reward from years ago, the OOTS Dim Sum spoof of the Dark Sun setting. 25 pages - which I haven't gotten around to yet, but will over the holidays.
EDIT: It also seems to be for sale for $5 if you weren't a KS backer way back when.

Rich didn't do anything special for the number AFAICT, but I suppose that particular dialect has long since vanished into history.
Thankfully, IMO.

I figure I have no grounds for sneering at Kids These (or even Those) Days when I look at some (some? Make that most) of the things I thought were cool when I was much younger.
Re the timing, though, I ran across something elsewhere on social media a month ago: the span of time between now and the original "I can has cheezburger" meme is the same as between that meme and the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Yes. Leave leet in the dustbin with jive (including, "fo'shizzle", what I consider the rapper-/Snoop-popularized redux).
Jargons suck, no matter how "cool" they may seem at the time.
| Orthos |
Jargon has a place, but it's usually in the space of "field-specific language" where words are created or repurposed for use in the specific context of a working field, niche interest, or complex subjects.
For example "code blue" means one thing to a soldier, and another thing to a physician.
That said, I wouldn't call leet and jive jargon, they're more slang or argot, or just culturalized linguistics which kinda overlaps with both, especially the latter.

Yeah, it was very surprising to get that. I'd love to see an updated version of the stretch rewards progress tracker that he used to send out. Not that I'm bitter, or anything, but he's put so much importance on fulfilling those rewards (and good for him) that I'm really curious what's still left to go.

Also, I'm not sure why Belkar seems to be affected in the last panel.
I don’t see the doubling effect on Belkar, so I assume his alignment and protection is working normally.
Yes. The aura around Belkar is (still) from the protection from evil effect he activated when Nale arrived ("Reruns." "Ngnnh.").
Interestingly, Serini doesn't seem to be affected either (but Sunny is).

Blasphemy hits all Non-Evil equally.
Serini being Evil seems quite possible.
But why does Minrah, lower level Dwarven Cleric of Thor, seem also unaffected (no double image) ?
Also it was interesting to see both Paladins not attacking the fiends while the OotS was entering the fray.

Always forget blasphemy/holy word/etc don't treat neutral easier.
As for the paladins not attacking fiends on sight, it's because they're not Lawful Stupid, which has already been well established. I'm sure they'll join the battle, but they weren't in on the OoTS immediately knowing the tell from what color was the god question necessarily and therefore weren't in the surprise round.

It looks as if Roy is about to do something to Nale while Nale is distracted by gloating at V...
And Serini might have something up her sleeve.

Still not looking good, but we haven't seen anything from Serini yet.

"easy to open, tho."
As Sabine and Thog double team Durkon.
It might be more likely that this will be Belkar's "sacrifice" (as he looks like he's the only OOtS member that's close to 100%).
