Liberty's Edge

Hello there!

I want to know the community opinion about this. There are several Pathfinder RPG modules, as seen in this page:

http://paizo.com/pathfinder/modules/pathfinderRPG

Which of these is the best module of all?

Thanks for your opinions.

Kingmaker.

Hi Ravenath... thats a bit of a loaded question: What does the group you are running for like; Setting-wise? Level range wise? Dungeon crawl vs roleplay wise? How experienced is the group? Are you looking ofr a single adventure, or multiple modules you can string together?

(the above answer from the other poster is talking about kingmaker adventure path - which my group loves, but didn't care for the micromanaging the kingdom building)

Liberty's Edge

Well, I play mostly by post, so the level and the other factors isn't important to me. I only want to know what is the most enjoyed by the people here in Paizo forums.

Edited the title to be a bit clearer.

From Shore To Sea.

The shorter format of the modules makes it hard to set a mood/tone/atmosphere but FStS does that really well.

Full disclosure: I was a patron on FStS.

IMO. Carrion Hill or From shore to sea.

Liberty's Edge

Mm... 2 votes for "From shore to sea". Interesting...
Thanks for all the answers.

RPG Superstar 2011 Top 16

People speak very highly of Conquest of the Bloodsworn Vale and also of Realm of the Fellnight Queen.
(The former written by the lead designer of Paizo, the latter the winner of the RPG Superstar award.)

Both appeal to me because they feel closer to real-world myths and less like high-magic stuff.

Pathfinder Adventure, Adventure Path, Lost Omens Subscriber

According to the Reviews at Paizo the Top 5 are:

1. From Shore to Sea (L6)
2. Crypt of the Everflame (L1)
3. Carrion Hill (L5)
4. Realm of the Fellnight Queen (L7)
5. City of Golden Death (L5)

I would say that all of those are good choices, depending on what level range you are looking for. Shore to Sea, Carrion Hill, and Realm of the Fellnight Queen are some of my personal favorites.

I love Carrion Hill and Realm of the Fellnight Queen. Both are great adventures with a lot of flexibility and originality.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

For newbies, I think 'Crypt of the Everflame' is the best option; it might need a bit tweaking (in my opinion) for a more experienced group. Likewise, 'Masks of the Living God' as a follow-up may work better for inexperienced players as written; I can't see my own group swallowing the hook, though. Together these two form a very nice basis for a mini-campaign.

Sad to say, but I didn't like 'City of Golden Death' that much; 'Carrion Hill' is far better, and story-wise it's my favorite PF RPG adventure.

It's not yet out, but I have very high expectations for 'Godsmouth Heresy', since 'City of Strangers' was such an awesome product!

I've only played in Crypt of the Everflame so far, though I've read a lot of others and played pre-PF adventure paths. I really dig CotE, it is clearly directed toward PF newbies, both players and DMs, but it is a very solid dungeon crawl.

Carrion Hill and Carnival of Tears are my favorites.
