Analysis of the 96

Liberty's Edge Dedicated Voter Season 6

Would anyone find it useful to do an analysis of the past 96 items.

Basically how many items did...

slot
cost range
type
theme
caster level

et. al.

Liberty's Edge

That would be EXTREMELY useful!

I'll do 2009, unless you want to do the whole thing...

I've got one in my head. I would not use this to design an item, but it would be helpful in deciding which of my top two items (ooohhh... a map of never-lost) scratch that: top three items to submit. :)

I was gonna do it all as a total compiled analysis. I'm about 2/3rds done with 2008.

I've decided to do away with Theme, as every single item seemed to be different.

I'm including slots, type of item (book, anvil, necklace, etc.) and which rule I deemed was broken.

So far, I'd say roughly 12 of 24 items I've looked at so far have had broken rules from the 22 Sean has posted so far.

One rule in 2008 I'm not enforcing is the game rules if the "template" doesn't include slot info and such. Because I think they wanted everyone to use simple text SRD template and actually commented negatively on entries that used 3.5 format from MIC.

Further years that include slot in the template will ding an item for getting it wrong in my analysis, however.

Last I checked, three isn't one less than two ;) - which only enforces the fact that you should get someone else to proofread everything!

*grin* I was joking that my two best items are less good than auto-reject advice #20-something and should therefore make it a three-way race :P

A map of never-lost will get you an auto-reject.
