Entangle DC for Tangle Bolt

Rules Questions

What is the concentration DC for a spell caster to make if they are hit and damaged by a Tangle Bolt (APG)?

Multiple Choice:

A) DC 15 + Spell Level (Entangled Condition)
B) DC 10 + Spell Level + Damage Taken (concentration p. 206)
C) the higher of A and B
D) DC 15 + Spell Level + Damage Taken (both A & B)

Does it matter if the damage is taken while the spell caster is in the middle of casting or if the caster is trying to cast after being hit?

It's A, unless the crossbowman had readied an action to fire a bolt at the caster when it started casting.

B is only used for readied actions or attacks of opportunity triggered by casting non-defensively.

If the crossbowman had readied an action to fire a Tangling Bolt at the caster, I would simplify things at my table and use D, though RAW probably has it that the caster would make two checks, both A and B.
