Ranger Combat Style?

Rules Questions

Liberty's Edge

In the APG we are graced with more combat style options for rangers, I have a Pc that would like to be a weapon/shield build ranger but there is no two-weapon fighting feat listed as possible "combat Style" bonus feats, was this a typo? Otherwise the character has to have a Dex 15 to qualify for the feat normally and if they can not qualify for TWF that severely limits that styles usefullnes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never noticed that before. I think it's probably not an oversight and was, sadly, intentional. Otherwise, it's just a ridiculously good way to sword and board, probably better than any other class.

It's still not that bad. Without even dumping stats you can still get 18 Str after racial adjustment with a 13 in Wisdom. You'll only have 10 Con but with Fort being a good save, the favored class plus to hp, a d10 hit die, and the shield pushing your AC high it's probably not going to hurt you too bad. If it worries you, though, dumping Cha to 7 gets you 12 Con and Wis all the way to 14.

If you intend to use a shield as an offhand weapon, might as well just select the standard 2 weapon fighting ranger as your style, and pick up the shield feats normaly. That way you wont need the high dex for the TWF line.
