I just realized that smite good/evil for half-fiends and half-celestials works different than the smite ability that celestials and fiendish creatures get.
The Half-a-things get a single smite attack with a bonus, pretty much how it was in 3.x, while the Fiendish and celestials get the -now standard- smite, like the paladins, where it lasts until the opponent is defeated or 24 hours has passed or the smiter rests or some such.
Is that supposed to be like that? It just seems a bit strange that the two abilities works differently. Or is that an error that crept in during "translation"?
Thanks Y'all!

It does seem strange, especially since the Half-Outsiders are both more closely related to an outsider (one parent vs. one ancestor in the distant past) and more powerful (CR +1-3 vs. CR +0-1).
Actually, looking at d20pfsrd, it looks like the half-celestial smite has an errata to make it work like paladin smite.
Smite Evil (Su): Once per day, as a swift action, the half-celestial can smite evil as a paladin of the same level as its Hit Dice. The smite persists until target is dead or the half-celestial rests.
Half-fiend has been updated similarly.

Thanks! Should have thought about looking it up at the PFSRD... Silly me :)
