catman homebrew Act 1 the heroes emerges

Shadow Lodge

After a long journey through the rain, the clouds finally parted and the sun sines. Off in the distant you spot a town. As you get closer a local man greets you.

"Welcome to whiteoak and may the light bless you".

9th Generation Kiasyd | Bloodpool: 13/14 | Willpower: 7/7

Anthius nods in acknowledgment of the man's greeting.

"Well met. Would there by chance be an inn in this village? We have been traveling for quite some time and could do with an evening's worth of comfortable rest."

Male Druid

Nox, slowly raises head from his prayer book. Nodding at the local.

Sense Motive (Is he a follower of the light?) 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

While Watching him.

"and you..."

While giving a proper greeting of thier faith.
Knowledge Religion 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

Then following behind Anthius.

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Summoner 1

Looks towards the group that was entering the village, telling Gudcra to continue his working. Interest fell into his eyes, haven't seeing travelers since, well, himself.
Quickly he continues to instruct Gudcra, the large, pitch-black creature picking up two barrels filled with what appeared to be water, with which it watered certain parts of vegetable patches scattered behind a small, fenced-off area.

SM yes he is

"Ha! I see your a fellow lightbringer". In that case my name is Cole and welcome!

Female Human Rogue 1

Jezabel gives the Man a slight nod in return from his greeting, she says nothing, but is thinking..

"I hope there are some fresh pockets to pic here, my Coin purse isn't feeling as heavy as normal.."

"Thank you, I am Nox. What services does your town offer? For we are road warn and would like a bit of a respite, for now."

Smiles at the man. As he shuts his prayer book and lowers it to his side, (Spot to see multiple holy symbols on the cover.) placing it in its leather cover with a shoulder strap.

Darvin, hearing the exchange between the religious pair, relaxes a little, nods, and smiles at the man Cole.

His gaze moves to the rest of the village, trying to judge what threats might lie within, alighting on the unusual (creature?) tending to the garden to the side. Quietly to the others and gesturing slightly with a tip of his head, "Ah, friends, what is that?"

Liberty's Edge

Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Khalla turned his head towards the one who made the remark, shaking his head. Gudcra placed a hen he was soothing onto the ground, turning towards the group that had appeared.
athletics (Gudcra): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
He suddenly run-jumped towards the group, the rune glowing as he landed but a few feet from the man who asked. Khalla shook his head and walked up to them, hands held up. "I'm sorry, adventures. He's a bit...touchy as to who calls him what." He bowed towards the group, Gudcra reluctantly doing the same. "I am Khalla, and the thing that you spoke of is my...companion, Gudcra. Don't worry about him, please. He's but a "fledgling".

Darvin moves to make sure he is between the unknown creature and his charge, Anthius, but does not reach for his weapon yet. He just makes sure his shield is between Gudcra and Anthius.

"Greetings, Khalla, but you mis-heard. I did not call - you say Gudcra? - I did not call Gudcra a thing. I've asked the same question of my companions many times over the last week. Met my first tiefling two days ago, for example. I gather that they are generally unique from one another, much like Gudcra."

Female Human Rogue 1

Noding at Nox's Comment about a respite, Jezabel agrees

"Aye, a Tavern would be fantastic"

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Summoner 1

Khalla would nod in agreement to the mis-hearing part. "Yes, I understand. However, it was Gudcra who heard what I heard wrongly. He is touchy, and tends to get just a bit angered at times...You see, I derived from a family that favors the war god, and he tends to, well, try to make anything into a fight..."

A sigh would escape from him as Gudcra seemed to chuckle a little, his body moving with each deep sound. "Yes, well, as I was going to say...I'll explain his problem later if you wish to speak of it. For now, we have duties to attend to." He quickly turned around, walking to a small patch of garden next to a hut. Gudcra walked over pridefully, taking nearby kegs of water to continue his work.

Shadow Lodge

"Oh There is the inn it called the rusty dagger". He points to a brown cottage. "South of there is the shop and see that building over there that is the temple of light". As you heads turns to see the tallest building you spied a star on the very top.

9th Generation Kiasyd | Bloodpool: 13/14 | Willpower: 7/7

Anthius nods in acknowledgement of the man's directions, and starts walking toward the Rusty Dagger.

"Thank you." Turning to his companions, "Shall we?"

Replying to Anthius, "As you wish." As they walk, he continues to watch the pair they'd just encountered. Whispering, he asks, "Did he mean that he himself was of a war god? Or his... friend, the one called Gudcra?"

Female Human Rogue 1

"Jezabel gives Darvin a rough slap on the shoulder"

" As long as it walks down wind, you don't have anything to worry about! HA HA HA"

She then Lets out a Hearty Laugh"

Nods and starts walking toward the Rusty Dagger.

Shadow Lodge

As you all are heading to the rusty dagger, You notice every one else beside Cole are hidden. Every so often you see someone peak out from the windows of the various windows. When You meet any of the gazes they retreat.

When you reach the inn a Pre-teen girl greets you. Her blue eye wide with wonder "Welcome to the Rusty Dagger. Anything I can help you with."

9th Generation Kiasyd | Bloodpool: 13/14 | Willpower: 7/7

"Greetings. Perhaps lodging for the night and a warm meal?"

Female Human Rogue 1

Jezabel gets a bad feeling about everyone stareing at her, you can tell she doesn't like being the center of attention

perception check, to look for anyone suspicious

"YOU HAVE PATRONS THAT NEED ATTENED FATHER!"

She replyed back in the same matter..

"Oh I'll see what have in stock. It not much in the back. The attacks on the caravans have stalled our inventory. Father can tell you more".

As she heads to the back a burly man with blond hair comes to the counter.

Male Druid

Nodding at the burly man. Once he introduces himself.

"So, you have been having some trouble with you r shipments eh?"

Shadow Lodge

Yes I have. My name is Jabe. About a month ago supplies just stop coming in town. A few of our townsmen and a knight went to investigate but never came back. Could you help us out?

Male Druid

"Possibly, let me talk it over with my traveling companions here. Is that all that you know?"

What do you guys think?

"It certainly sounds like someone must look into it. I don't know why it should not be us."
