Merits:

Prized Collection (2pt. Merit) - Kiasyd have appreciation for compilations of books, records, vintages of blood, and other collectable items among Cainites. You possess a collection that may not be worth much (1pt.) or could be worth a lot to the right buyer (2pt.). Importantly, it’s a point of interest for any visiting Kiasyd or expert in the field, and they’re likely to treat you well just to get access to it.

Vitae Mutation (5pt. Merit) - You’ve drank the liquid essence of entities both strange and powerful. Whether the vitae of Methuselahs, the boiling blood of lupines, or bottled dreams of fae, the volume and combination of the brews you’ve consumed have forever altered you. Each night a Willpower roll is required (difficulty 7) for you to manifest a single point of Auspex, Chimerstry, or Dementation. This point can be added to an existing rating in the Discipline, but disappears the following night.

Flaws:

Dreadful Mara (4pt. Flaw) - You drank something that still lives within you and hates you, exerting alarming control over your thoughts and actions. Each night, the Storyteller may convert a single rolled success into a 1, potentially leading to a botch. At
the Storyteller’s discretion, the entity may also whisper advice or insults, which can lead to increased difficulty during attempts to concentrate.

History:

Damien has always been somewhat of a low-grade celebrity, be it as the lead guitarist of a popular local band or later in his life as one of the top rated bartenders in the area. It was Damien's talents as a bartender, who had gained quite the reputation for unique concoctions, that had gained the attention of Delacroix. Delacroix had frequented a number of the Kiasyd cocktail clubs throughout Europe, and had sought to reproduce the same in the States. There was one major flaw to Delacroix's plan though, he was at least nominally of the Sabbat, and Perle Perdu, Louisiana was firmly in Camarilla hands. To make matters worse, Damien had already been targeted for the embrace by Tolya, a Toreador harpy of Russian stock, due to his talents behind the bar and on stage.

Much to Tolya's displeasure, Delacroix beat her to the bite and claimed Damien as his own. Damien would travel with his sire, city to city, experiencing the various exotic canite clubs along the way. Eventually Delacroix would find himself in the wrong place at the wrong time and would meet his end at the hands of a Camarilla Archon. Damien was incredibly lucky to escape and he fled to the one place on earth that he knew well enough to feel safe, Perle Perdu.

Damien would access the remainder of his Sire's resources and purchase the building that would be both his business and haven, Fields of the Nephilim, much to the displeasure of Tolya's wounded pride. Eventually, Damien would become, if not wholly trusted, a respected member of Kindred society.

NOTES: Fields of the Nephilim has two distinct areas, the public club and the private club. Damien claims that the fees to join the private club are extensive, but in truth the private club is for Kindred and their servitors only. Most nights Damien is at the club usually in the private club, while lover/retainer/ghoul, Lydia runs the public club.
