Thoughts and Advise on Druid and Combat Patrol

Advice

Huge form with a single big primary attack

15+5-20 sq feet of combat patrol

seems like a pretty solid idea, just wondering if anyone has actually play'd around with this ?

I was also thinking since Druid Shamans can be Huge animals at 6th level that a multi class might be beneficial since 2 wildshapes (maybe 3 with a feat) is really enough uses per day.

then you've got 14 levels to play with something like barbarian or a PrC to beef up your BAB, damage and Hit Dice.
boon companion would keep your animal companion relevant a bit longer

any pitfalls I'm possibly not seeing ?

no one's considered this before ?

I think it's a solid idea, IF you are focused on wildshape/melee. You'd need Combat Reflexes, maybe Stand Still, and you could be a pretty effective road block.

Until the opposition drops a Fireball on you. :)

Scarab Sages

Only issue the is Dex drop from being huge will make it difficult to use Combat Reflexes as well.

Make Dex the focus attribute of the build? Don't dump Wis, but focus on buff spells so the DCs aren't a major factor...

I like this concept.

mmmm good point about the dex although it is only -4
alchemist mutgaen could potentially offset it since I was already looking at a multiclass
either that of cats grace is going to be needed or a Dex item

just on the dex focus if your not duming wis for dex then your dumping a high STR which imho is not ideal say
14STR
16+2(18) DEX
16 WIS

going huge turns that into 20STR 14DEX
thats not really a whole lotta bang , although i guess being large your relying on a big damage die and not the STR bonus

i dont think there are any other feats that can help with number of AoO's ?

guess the realy question is with a 20-35 ft area how many AoO's are going to be provoked each round and how many will you have enough movement to endgage ?
