Those of you who want to worship local gods... think of them as gods with many aspects. They are Elemental Gods and do not need the power of faith from their worshipers. They also have many areas of responsibility and they are worshiped as a pantheon. Their collective symbol is a pentagram inside the circle. You can give a personal primacy to one god in the Penteon, as they are collectively called, but you acknowledge the rest of the gods and their places in the Penteon.

Right. Time to rework some stuff. That nixs every feat we planned on using except combat reflexes and cleave. Oh well.
Might make the build impossible without Formation Expert and Shield Wall.
maybe the Teamwork feats from the APG will have some similar stuff we can use.

Scranford,
In the Midnight game, we can take Drawbacks. One of them is Powerful Enemy. It would be funny if we could take each other.
I just lowered Kun's Wisdom to sub-average so I can see our characters relationship entailing my character getting both of them into trouble; fun ensues. In fact, that could be how we got into this situation.

Hey there, just sounding off to say that Doomed, Sorok, and I put in some time this evening working out our build(s) and background(s) for this. Once we've made sure we all have the details straight, should be posting the first version(s). Tomorrow, methinks.
All straight out of the Pathfindery books. Those teamwork feats in the APG = good stuff.

Although I am not a fan of that trait, boy I can't pass it up when it's allowed. There is no way I am going to allow a +6 to not be used even though I am not doing a melee oriented character.
Bad Guy: Let's get the squishy mage!
Squishy Mage: Punch you in the face for 9!

Right there with you.
I deliberately avoided that trait in the other game. This one though, I'm telling my restraint to talk a long walk off a short pier.

Right, here we go. The numbers aren't as prettily organized as i might like, still missing traits and a few other things, but I did finish one bit I thought you all should be advised of - the first installment of our giant freaking background story. This is, of course, pending GM approval, as it's a little (okay, a lot) odd, but we've got a pretty cool story to tell here, so I hope you enjoy nevertheless. First part's going up in my profile, second part in Doomed/Orphax's, and the third in Sorok/Herac's.

Well that was awesome, I'm really looking forward to the rest of it now. Sounds like they just got drafted into a superhero league or something.

heh. Pretty accurate assessment, actually. The setting they're from is kinda like D&D on crack. They're just soldiers, but they're soldiers trained in a place that has made an entire economy out of cranking out giant badasses.
I've been working on the mechanics of my character so I haven't written the backstory section yet, but I'll let you know when it gets added.
In the mean time, Nightflier, I think the mechanics are solid and ready for review. Rolling for the last bits now-
7d4 + 41 ⇒ (4, 1, 4, 4, 4, 4, 2) + 41 = 64 (using your homerule hit point system)
2d4 + 8 ⇒ (3, 3) + 8 = 14 for horse

Ugh. I just noticed that Spencer's last name is Rondell. I had a student named Rondell that was a was huge huge pain. One day after he served detention for me, he decided to go and smear crap all over as well as stuff it into two vending machines in the school. Then he urinated all over the handicap rail elevator. Nice kid.

Or if you prefer just write yours, and let me know how J'larky fits in, and I'll write around it.

Right, getting a little numbers work done. Mostly complete at this point, except for a few things I'll have to fill in with books in front of me (at work right now, roleplaying is frowned on). One thing I'm unsure of, though, is traits. I just wasn't sure what to pick up, really. There's quite a few that wouldn't hurt, of course, but nothing's really jumped out at me. Anyone have ideas for a reasonably high int/dex fighter?
Oh yeah, and somebody mentioned to me that we get one of the background traits (child of etc.) extra. Is that the case?

That's not for this game. It's for Midnight.

Ouch. That sounds less than pleasant. Sympathy.
No its fine. The biggest problem, I believe, is that my biggest hobby used to be motorcycling, but because of a business in the toilet, I had to sell it and that really sucked. Gaming became my new hobby last year and I jumped in with both feat. Now I am in two irregularly meeting games and have taken over running a campaign. Plus, I want to run a Dragonlance game sometime next year but I have to convert it all to Pathfinder and figure out what to do in a world with little to no healing magic. <Maybe I should do a Midnight game instead;)> The irregularly meeting games AND my Savage Tide games are all going to run this week. Count three nights gaming in one week. That, plus much of the time I am on the computer, I am prepping for an upcoming game or doing a pbp, so it seems like I am doing way too much. Too the missus's perspective, I am gaming all the time it seems.

Guys, it seems I can't get enough sleep since returning from my business trip. I sleep for 12 hours per day and it's still not enough. I'm gonna get this thing rolling pretty soon. Just to get my breath back.
No problem, I just wanted to make sure things were still on track to go.
Sorry to hear you're dropping, Chops/Kun-Sun, but I guess that's the way it goes. Good luck keeping the wife happy, 'tis a worthy endeavor.
