The first line of the feat says you can call you ediolon an additional time per day. Then the description of the benefit says you an add +2 to an ability score when you summon it. Does it do both, or is it one of the errors? if it is an error, which does it do, the extra summon or the +2 ability score? I'm trying to make my summoner for tonight's game. Thanks for any help.

There is no longer a limit to how many times you can summon your Eidolon. In the beta, you could only summon the Eidolon once per day. It would seem this feat originally would allow you to summon it a second time. As such, the actual effect of the feat is to give you +2 to your eidolon for 10 minutes after being summoned.

The feat suffered in the flux that was the summoner.
Currently it's a wasted feat and I don't suggest that you take it.
You might ask your DM if the feat could do something else for you. Say for example being able to call up your eidolon if it had been banished for the day.. that seems to be what it was originally meant to do.
The summoner is a nice idea for a class, but it has so many rough edges where they felt they had to make rules exceptions that I would have a talk with your DM about smoothing some of them out.

Couldn't you technically summon the Eidelon, keep it out for 10 minutes, banish it, and resummon it repeatedly? Munchkin-like and against RAI, but not against RAW?
Yes. You could even so its not remotely worth a feat. Just to many better/faster/cheaper ways to get an enhancement bonus to a stat. The window where this feat is even remotely worthwhile is incredibly narrow.

True. I thought that since you can change the ability score increase every time you use it it'd give increased versatility, especially if you already have the Increased Ability evolution. Now that I think about it, it's not overly useful though. Plus it may theoretically cause RP issues if they're accompanied by easily bored fighting types ("Will you stop that and let us move on already?!?!")

There's 2 'places'. The limitation on summoning your Eidolon via the 1 minute ritual states it cannot be summoned again after death until the following day, but nothing beyond that.
Secondly, once you've reached level four, you can cast the Summon Eidolon spell which lasts 1 minute per caster level. This also allows your Eidolon to benefit from Augment Summoning and Imbue Summoning feats, though that's off the topic.

The description of the eidolon on page 55 of the APG says "If the eidolon is sent back to its home plane due to
death, it cannot be summoned again until the following day."
The spell description for Summon Eidolon states "This spell allows you to summon your eidolon even if it has been returned to its home plane due to damage."
HELP! Which of these statements is correct?

Both, after it has been killed you can't use the ritual to summon it till the next day
the spell however allows you to summon it regardlessit is a case of specific versus general where specific (can be use to summon even if the eidolon has been killed) trumps general (can't be summoned again today)
hope that helps clear things up for you
