Well, y'know, I can steer pretty well, but my dice say I had a mishap. This might end badly.
In other news, I think I might live. I'm pretty good at swimmin'.
Hee hee. Well, you got another chance to get back up, when Round 2 starts anyway. Or someone can assist you. Which is likely.
Stormwrack has loads of rules for swimming though which is pretty sweet.

I introduced 'karma' points just a second ago, just a small house rule I wanted to toss in. Anytime you roll a natural 20 you can bank what I call a karma point, and use it to act out of turn to do minor heroic deeds, or maybe reroll a failed skill check etc. I used Garth's in the IC thread and you cam see a basic example of how it works.
If any of you earn them, just keep track of how you earned it, and how many you have. I usually say the are good for an encounter, but in this game I may let you keep them longer and use them when needed for dramatic effect.
The only catch is, you can't dictate what happens, you just say you want to use them, and I'll add in realistically what can be done. That's only to prevent an old player I had that tried to do really off the wall, and impossible, feats with them.
You cannot, I repeat, cannot make an organic flamethrower with a stick, Fire Ants, and some Sovereign Glue.

thats no good >.<; the dm noticed the crit fail~ xD Na i didn't see it until you said so too. So what happens next? :O Or should i be saying 'Captain Overboard now?' xD
Almost. I was also going to look up possible unconscious tables. But decided to go easy, it's only round 1.

One Karma points: Very nice. =)
Two: Home Made flamethrower made from the above, Instant classic and sounds like someone either pulled that off or REALLY tried to convince you the it could work lol xD

Says....stuff...
You cannot, I repeat, cannot make an organic flamethrower with a stick, Fire Ants, and some Sovereign Glue.
Pshaw! Of course not! Ants is teh completely wrong way to go!
Everyone knows that's what you use Fire-beetles for!
(^_^)
I too, do like this idea and will be happy to play and experiment with the 'Karma point' system.
Much cheers and giggles to every one.

So...to work out the unfortunate Suny's HP I just have to know is it random dice rolls for every level? Or is first level always considered to have maximum number?
So, for totally random we get:2d8 + 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (8, 6) + (3) + 3 = 20
For max first we get: 8 + 1d8 + 1d6 + 3 ⇒ 8 + (7) + (5) + 3 = 23
Minus 14 points of damage we get,
1)20-14=6
OR
2)23-14=9
Awaiting DM's comment.

I mentioned earlier in the recruit thread or OOC that HP was max. Yours should be 25 total.

I hate to say this, but I - the player - have no actual idea what Stormfire is. I just googled it, and got nothing useful. (Unless a P-106 from the Star Wars universe is shooting at us...)
So what exactly is stormfire, and what do we do to keep it from 'outbreaking'? I've got some clues from Willpower's narration, but it's clear that I personally have rolled a 2 on my Knowledge-Forgotten Realms Nature check...

It is from Stormwrack, There's no way to stop it that I can see, but it hasn't fully manifested yet, which means it may just be a bad omen. If I roll a 20% chance next round it will be full fledged Stormfire, it usually lasts a few rounds and then dissipates.

Hey, Will. I haven't posted yet because I need to know what happened to me on that 1. Other than that, I'm ready to go.
Ya that's OK. I had a busy weekend, but I was hoping the ships doc would post and save you from going overboard :) I'll give him until tonight to see.
It would be bad timing to go overboard now, what with the things boarding the ship and all.

I'd lend you a hand if I could Captain, but th only crit I got was for a roll that wasn't appropriate at the time lol. So its either upto the DM's dastardly mind (~_^), Kyre or the Surgeon to decide.
Good luck! =/
Did I miss a Kyre crit roll too? man I better pay more attention.

![]() |

Oh sorry! Sometimes I can be absolutely blind but yes! I will be helping our captain... but of course there is praise to be paid in future... all this Evil stuff and so on is not cheap :P
So yes, I will help :) *gets his contract plus blood pencil up for contract*
funny!

Pretty sure you missed my action post with the rolls on friday. Where do I pick up? I would like to assist in the fight and I am on the deck.
Olek, if I did, sorry, but you can feel free to act in round 3 and assist on either the front, middle, or rear decks. All have creatures there attacking the deck crew.

Is a profession check a full round action to steer the ship? Since the captain is going to be distracted its upto Finn and Kai to keep the wheel and fight the beasties off.
Just wanted to know since i don't see much for clarification on that on the skill itself. Dm's call! xD
Because if its a move action I might be able to break off long enough to put a Javelin in 1 attacker at a time. But if not then i'll have to figure something else out.

Hrm, I don't see why you can't hurl a javelin if needed and still man the wheel this round.

Kai doesn't like it, mainly because they stink of saltwater and their presence is unsettling. xD But it is indeed funny to have a mini-army on our boat >.>; Even if they have like 4 Hp they still can be meat shields of sorts lol.
Hey anything that takes a hit for us works

Finn: Not sure I follow you. Save you and your bird?

"Quartermaster" Kai'itza |

I believe what Finn means is that he may become corrupt by Avion's 'mission' and perhaps if situations in the future cause a rift between the good and evil sides of the group. That we may in fact have to face Finn, Avion and who ever else in a battle of epic proportions.
But thats just me assuming lol
@ Avion: Rebuke/Command was an awesome touch and the small force of undead is kinda funny. Its definitely added a twist to things thats for sure.

Kai pretty much has it Will and the druids onboard are the best people to do it. As most viking priests were closer to druids than clerics Finn is more likely to relate to them. And damit I am happily netural at the moment although Avion could swing to the evil side of things very easily such as by encouraging me to act out on the anger inside. (Rage). And other not so pretty things.

@ Kai: Ah.
@ anyone:
As DM, if the party does go that route, I'm not opposed to playing it out. This is a sandbox game and all. What you ultimately do is up to you. I will endeavor to not be biased and just be an impartial judge.
I do enjoy the roleplaying happening though, just try to shy away from controlling my NPCs with your actions if possible. Occasionally I see things some of the NPCs may not actually do or react to, in the fashion I designed them. It's not a big deal and no one is being singled out. Just a blanket statement.
Not a huge deal, but some of the crew isn't as naive or green as I may have portrayed them. A Drow for example is not impressed with a rebuking as say Gunny would be, and was. :)
